One Life to Live has opted not to renew Kathy Brier's contract, according to Soaps.com. As a big fan of Brier, this is a sad day. Brier is one of daytime's most under appreciated talents and never received the Emmy recognition she deserved.

The most dramatic way for her to leave would be that when Starr finds out her baby is alive, she decides to keep her and that sends Marcie into despair. Knowing there's nothing left for her in Llanview, she decides to go live in the same city as her brother. It would be nice to give her something appropriately meaty to do since she has been so good for OLTL for the time that she's been around.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I hate this! She is super-talented. I'm just sad OLTL hasn't really given her much to do in the past year or so. And I'm sad that they sort of decimated her character by having her hold a sick Viki hostage at the diner in Paris and then turning her into a baby-crazed freak with a bad marriage. Wishing Kathy all the best. Hopefully, she will go back to Broadway and continue to shine.

I'm surprised she was still on. I thought the whole holding Vicki hostage storyline was to facilitate the actress leaving the role. I thought she decided a year ago to leave so I was always so surprised when I'd see her on screen. I'll miss her. I have always liked her and especially when she sings on the show.

This news makes me sad. She is such a talented actress and did some emmy worthy work last year. That being said the last 2-3 years the writers made Marcie so baby crazy that it became ridiculous after awhile. It was clear that they did not know what to do with her anymore so it wasnt much of a suprise for me.

Schyler(love Scott Clifton,but if there is a choice i'd much rather see a Marcie storyline.)
but coming up with a story for Marcie who is interwoven with every character on the canvas(not to mention can sing and act her ass off)or Michael who works in the busiest place in Llandview(and is Michael's brother) is more than Carlavati and Frons can handle. ABC should stand for ALWAYS BULLSHITTING CONSUMERS!!!!jmo.

This sucks. Kathy is an amazing actress. Amazing. There are plenty of places that Marcie could go. But I guess as long as she gets a happy ending I can be content. If she just runs away because Starr gets the baby (or worse, runs away WITH the baby), I'll be angered.

I am not really surprised. the problem with her character is her lack of chemistry with the new michael. I really think that they killed her character when they recasted her leading man...really i loved her with the Al character better......the character was tooooooooooooo glooooooom and doooom....it was just ment to end sooner rather than later.
