Goldberg to Writer: "Anonymous Bitch!"

Forget the motto of Don't Mess with Texas (sorry Jamey and Mel), you don't mess with Whoopi Goldberg. The View moderator went off on TV Guide Magazine writer Ingela Ratledge and What Not To Wear's, Stacy London for clowning her wardrobe choices and suggesting what she (Ratledge) thinks Goldberg should wear in the magazine. London took it a bit further by saying in the article, that due to Goldberg's clothing,
You can't take her seriously.
Ouch! Now I watched today's show and I'm just wondering how the hell I missed her reading the women for bashing her attire. Then I realized it happened at the very end of the show. See Goldberg in action at the 5:41 mark of the clip.. All I have to say is: CHURCH WHOOPI!

I think the anonymous bitch should have also pointed out that Whoopi looks the most comfortable in her skin then any of the other women on the stage,and that coutour(?)...lol...does not = class. She proves that every morning on the view.jmo.

"Anonymous bitch"! What an inappropriate thing for Whoopi to say! I guess that explains why I've always been a fan of the inappropriate.
I suppose in whateverhernameis' opinion, we're SUPPOSED to expect someone like Whoopi to show up in something fashionable, or at least in some timeless Chanel number. How FAKE would THAT be!
Give me Whoopi!!! Whoopi, dammit! Do I want to see Whoopi in some red number that Joan Rivers' most recent parts would be cinched up in? Hyell, no! I watch The View for the authentic women on the show! Joy has a wry take on just about any situation. Elisabeth is a young conservative family member who represents her constituency well. Sherri represents the average middle-class woman who might not have a full grasp on all the hot-button issues, but has an innate BS-detector that I respect and a kickass sense of humor I admire! Barbara is the den-mother whose prissy attitude keeps them all in line (but isn't it great when she's watching from her office???).
I love the dynamic of The View just as it is. Whoopi very often pisses me off, but so do the rest of them. That's their job; but regardless of our political differences, I think anyone who decides to slam them based on what they're WEARING just completely misses the point!
I don't care if Bob Schieffer is wearing Depends as he hosts Face The Nation. I'm watching to hear what he has to say. Same goes for Whoopi and the rest of her View Crew.
Anonymous bitch just sets the bar way too low for all of us!

Thanks for the love Traceylee... Sonya u get a mini church but you do get a "Shame on It All," for not listening to the podcast! My mom had to tell me about today and I caught it on the news also and the anchors cheered Whoopi on. Well to be fair they are NY news anchors and were on a ABC station. Whoopi has NEVER been a fashionista, what makes her stand out and unique is that she dresses the way SHE wants to and for comfort. Stacy London, she's ok but for her to try and take a swipe at Whoopi and say, "You can't take her seriously," for not dressing to her standards....... Girl you were itching to get got by Whoopster. She was trying to make a name for herself and ended up making Ms. G very pissed.... We know she'll be contacting Whoopi to beg for mercy and hear about that on Monday... I will keep you updated on this folks.

I loved what Whoopi had to say, and usually everything she has to say (except for the tired valley girl bit) but in retrospect, I'm not sure I approved of her screaming "Anonymous bitch!" into the airwaves. Does that make her any better than the author, who has no other way to respond? Maybe if they invited the author or Stacy London on and they declined, I could appreciate the comments better.
And besides, I thought Whoopi didn't care about what other people thought? And of ALL the things that've been said about her, that got her riled up?
Otherwise, I love my Whoopi.

I think what bothered her is that some vapid, tired wannabe fashionistas in a magazine that somebody bought for a dollar had the audacity to say her opinion isn't relevant because of how she dresses. It's not that she cares about what they said about her clothes. It's that these idiots set women back 150 years by saying what Whoopi has to say about politics and the human condition shouldn't be considered because she doesn't own a pair of snazzy, throwback Manolo's.

Aww thanks Agim! dsrbroadway, Whoopi has never cared what others think of her clothing choices, that's her whole thing. She never has and never will, she dressed for comfort. Whoopi is using the same forum that the ladies used on her: A public medium. The only difference is, Whoopi was on TV and the ladies were in a mag. Was her way appropriate? Eh, that's debatable. To say that you can't take her seriously because of the way she dresses is stupid to put mildly. Who the hell cares what you wear as long as you are wearing SOMETHING! Now if she came to the show naked then yeah, I'd never take her seriously. Stacy London made women sound superficial. I'm pretty sure Hliary Clinton doesn't say, "Man if I don't war my Jimmy Choos with this Diane Von Furstenberg suite I won't ever get the disarmament of nukes by N. Korea!" She (Stacy) imo, was trying to keep her name relevant by messing with a A-listed celeb. Oh she got it relevant, relevantly spanked!
