Do you Twitter? I just signed up and what do I find? Some General Hospital news! According to Kristin from EOnline!, General Hospital's Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller) has landed herself a pilot on ABC. Hennesy will be opposite Courteney Cox Arquette in Cougartown.

Currently, Carolyn is only a recurring character on GH but with both shows being ABC shows, I would assume that time permitting , she can pull double duty.

I wonder if it's a guest spot or recurring/major role. I wish her the best of luck and maybe the pilot will get picked up. From what I hear about the show, not so good but who knows.

Caroline is such a classy lady. Even though her Geico commercial is lame, she is so cute just sitting there flirting with the "money you could have saved . . ."
I probably wouldn't watch the show. All these new terms, such as "cougar" kind of get to me and it sounds like the makings of a disaster. However, Caroline would be great, I'm sure.

Well, my one problem with this is I hate the whole "cougar" concept, as I think it is a rather pejorative, sexist concept of the sexuality of any woman over 40. For example, nobody is calling Sonny something like that for dating women 10 or 15 year younger than him. And since I will be 40 in four years, and have friends over 40, I think that is unfortunate. (I guess I should even learn to accept I could be called a cougar, too, if I dated somebody considerably younger than me. Goodness, that is worse than being called "m'am.")
BUT....I think CH is an absolute gem. She will do fantastic in any role she is cast in, so I'm at least happy that she is getting more work besides GH. I swear, Diane and Alexis were the only reason I kept hanging on to GH as long as I did. When they stopped using them for a while, I took it off my DVR. But I miss the gals and am at least glad CH is getting more exposure elsewhere. I saw her on a Geico commercial the other day and was way more happy about it than I should have been.

GH blew off such wonderful talent as Grahan Sheils (Cody Paul) and now they are doing it agian. GH really needs to BUY A CLUE. No one wants to see "old people" kissing, huh? No, they are just making PRIME TIME (read QUALITY-probably? as CC and DA are not exactly chopped liver and their endeavors have been crazy successes) shows about it... but oh now don't give them anything on daytime but comic relief and product placement; if that! Hello? A-Hats! A-clowns!

Only idiots with no imagination say things about it being gross to see "old people" being affectionate. Newsflash, the world is graying. The Baby Boomers make up the most of the country. Golden Girls was wildly popular with young adults. Samantha on Sex and the City is the oldest character by almost a decade and had the hottest sex life. Daytime is run by trained monkeys.
