Chauntee Schuler's "World" Keeps Turning

I reported earlier that Chauntee Schuler was leaving As the World Turns and that the show was going to recast the role of Bonnie. Soap Opera Digest now reports that she was going to leave because of a move to the West Coast, but that she has decided to stay on the show and commute between the West Coast and New York.

Knowing this show... probably nothing will change. They've recasted Dallas twice and never gave him anything to do, so the fact that the show was going to recast if she did leave doesn't have to mean anything.

they treat this as if it's BIG news...Does'nt ATWT relize they're are losing us here...so she's staying, she never does anything but fallow Derek around every 5 weeks or so...WAKE UP ATWT...

I've never really liked Bonnie anyway. I don't hate the character but she just does nothing for me. I think they need to let her go for at least a few months and work on a story and an actress for the role.
Jamey suggested Brooke Kerr (or maybe some other girl from Passions, I don't know) and someone else who I forget. I see the point of bringing on someone recognizable but I'd take an unknown. I want them to find someone who is Jessica all over again just like Little House on the Prairie did with with Nelly/Nancy. If they can't do that then I don't need to see Bonnie.
