It is not the hair cut that matter in this scene it was that Shane wanted to have the same hair cutt as rexx. the fact his is accepting rexx more as dear old dadd.
at first i thought it was diffenent kid, did not relise he is almost as tall as gigi

It took me a few seconds that is was Shane and not OLTL hiring a new lesbian character...but I'm happy they got rid of the bowl-cut, and it fits his evolution on the show.
