How Sad! Watched this man for 20 years!

His voice was one of only a few my children recognized when growing up, they knew his (character) name, his voice, his cowboy hat, his business his native state, his crankiness.... they knew all this and werent even a soap opera fan. I felt connected to Phil Carey like only a few TV personalities.

Clint Ritchie, Phil Carey and Bob Woods WAS my reason for watching One Life to Live for many years, because no matter how bad the stories might have gotten i could count on my favorite manly men to make me want to watch and invest in the show.

Loved Phil, Loved Clint.

Absolutely fabulous video! Phil will be greatly missed in the soap world...he was truly an icon on OLTL. These clips also remind me of just how much better OLTL is at these type of storylines on their show, bringing back old characters and family together...really giving us some good emotional storylines to watch. If only my beloved GH knew how to pay tribute to their icons like OLTL does.

I'm a newcomer to One Life To Live and I didn't get to see much of Phil Carey. I wish I'd been earlier to the party.
Still what I did see of Asa was amazing. My thoughts go out to the Carey family.
