Yesterday's As the World Turns had one of those classic soap scenes where bystanders to a train wreck (in this case Carly and Craig's almost wedding) breath a huge sigh of relief after disaster is averted. Take your best shot at a toast by Holden (Jon Hensley), Jack (Michael Park) and Margo (Ellen Dolan) after Carly (Maura West) called off the wedding to Craig (Jon Lindstrom).

Well, I'm with you on that one Susie Q if yesterday's episode means the end of Carly and Craig. They are truly throwing away gold with those two if they do that.
But I'm HOPING that the writers will use the non-wedding as an opportunity to start a real relationship between Carly and Craig. JL's Craig has been fantastic and has oodles of chemistry with MW's Carly. Not to mention the dialogue between those two suggests maybe Carly has finally found a man in Craig version 2.whatever who will take her as is (love Craig's line yesterday calling Holden and Jack "flatfoot" and--oh I forget what he called the other one, but it was a great line about how they'll find fault with her again before too long; the Snyder boys always do). It's about time Carly stopped having to hate herself because of those dang Snyder men, and Craig seems to be the one to help her.
If the writers just throw them away, though, like they've thrown away so many other potential storylines, then I may just be done with this show. There's no point is getting invested in anything because the writers will just drop it.

Bonobochick, I with you on that statement. I hate all three of them and wish they all fall of the cliff or James Stenbeck made them disappear and never to be seen or heard from again.

Carly had issues w/ herself long before Jack came along. You don't go around scheming and tricking yourself because your self-esteem is so high!
