The Young and the Restless: Comings and Goings
The fictious town of Genoa City onThe Young and the Restless will be bustling this month with some new and familiar faces.
Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will return once again on Jan. 6, along with big sister Ashley's (Eileen Davidson) best friend Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams). Tom Virtue will also be making an appearance as a judge.
Lisa Waltz will play a sex therapist that Jack (Peter Bergman) will seek out and Sarah Buehler will play a prisoner on Jan. 8. Miekdo Hillman arrives on our screen Jan. 9 as Mariel, while Michael Gross will depart the role of Lowell/River on Jan. 15.
Actress Shiva Rose, ex-wife of actor Dylan McDermott (Bobby, The Practice; Duncan; Big Shots), will make an appearance on Jan.21. Rose will interact with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), Cane, (Daniel Goddard), Lily (Christel Khalil) and Billy (Billy Miller). No word on what the character link will be for Shiva and the foursome, but it will be during an event that Genoa City's glitterati will attend. Shoutout to KingTV for the Shiva info!

I think the event at the end of Jan. will have to do with Katherines book. I could see the publishing company throw a party and the Abbotts, Newmans, Winters, and Chancellors will be there. Maybe Rose is a publicist from NY and works for the company that published Katherines book. She will be talking to Billy/Cane to see if they are interested in writing a book since Katherines book is selling so well. I think there will be a twist in that Rose is from NYC and she knows Chloe (maybe Chloe was a stylist for someone and Rose was the stars publicist) and she knows that Chloe and Billy were together in NYC. Chloe and Billy will freak out that their secret might come out. Can't wait to see what the party is all about...with MAB writing it, it should be really good!

I love that Traci's on again. I guess it's safe to say Beth is on official recurring status? Traci's always been my favourite Abbott (I loved her with Brad!!), and I hope we see more of her.
