Sarah Brown Talks Claudia Z and Her Decision to Re-Sign with GH
Sarah Brown (Claudia, General Hospital) sat down with TVGuide's Matt Mitovich recently to talk Claudia Z. and her decision to re-sign with GH for another year.
TVGuide.com: Sarah Brown is never one to take her career moves lightly. What was important to you in deciding on another year with General Hospital?
Sarah Brown: Re-signing for me this time around was dependent on several major things — What's happening in the economy? Who would be writing the show this year and what kind of story did they have in mind for me? I like having a steady job. It's nice for a change, and that was a big part of the reason I decided to stick around. I love the people I'm working with and it is, after all, a great job for a single mom. I work hard, but I work locally and usually have much of my day free.
Sarah also talks about Claudia's bumpy beginning and the differences between Carly, whom Brown originated, and Claudia. The entire interview is a great read with Sarah dishing on the Tom Pelphrey rumors as well as who else has been rumored to be playing Sonny's (Maurice Benard) son Dante.
In other Sarah related news, the actress once again took to her Facebook page and updated her status: Sarah Brown is underpants parade at Gangsta-Hospital today ;). Hmmmmm... is she perhaps filming a love scene today?

I can't say I blame Sarah for re-signing with the economy and everything but I'm very disappointed Claudia will be around even longer. More mob crap - yuk!

Thanks for the interview. I really do LOVE Sarah Brown and she has been good in her small roles on other things (Without a Trace, Cold Case, etc).
That being said, I just don't buy what she said about her acting with Maurice being "organic." It COULD be organic if they didn't write Claudia to be so much like Carly or maybe it is just that is the way Sarah plays Claudia. Because all the same mannerisms are there - that being all cutesy and then being all bitchy. The only thing I haven't seen is the water works which Carly did a lot of. I think they are both phenomenal actors, but when actors come back and play different roles, it is hard to see them for the new character. I just hope they don't try to make Claudia Jason's second BFF and I hope when Natalia comes back that she is completely different than Emily, otherwise, what is the point, really?
Did anyone else hear that Sarah wears extensions when she plays Claudia? I heard it on SAGE, but do not know how reliable a source he is.

I am really hurt that I hate Claudia so much and didn't want SJB to resign. Every single show she has guest starred on I have watch. I stop watching Cold Case because they let her go (she was more popular than the lead actress) and I have watch all her lifetime movies but I wish she would leave GH.
I have stopped watching GH because they are trying to redo the old Sonny/Carly chemistry that isn't there anymore. I also stopped watching because of Nadine and Liason but that's another issue.
Also what is she talking about economy? She had a child and is in a relationship with one of the richest guys in the world!

I think it would be an interesting twist if Claudia acts like she likes Sonny and he let his guard down around her and then she stabs him and throw him in the Port Charles River. I would totally love Claudia.
