Rickles Rips Hasselbeck

Leave it to comedian Don Rickles to let the world know that Elisabeth Hasselbeck's husband 's football career really wasn't all that. Watch at the 1:44 mark to see what I mean. Babs tried to shush Rickles, but the other ladies just outright cackle at the remark.
For those of you who don't know, Lissie's married to Tim Hasselbeck, a former quaterback for the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals. Tim was a backup quaterback, so basically when the main QB was injured Hasselbeck got to play. From what Rickles said, and Tim Hasselbeck's bio's confirms, Lissie's hubby didn't get much playing time.
First Rev. Wright slams her, now Don Rickles puts her on blast. This really isn't shaping up to be Hasselbeck's week.

I love Don Rickles but I love Elizabeth too and that wasn't so bad.

I think Rickles is a funny old coot; like Whoopi said, he doesn't tell the same old stale jokes, he just comes up with it off the top of his head. And TV hosts know (or should know) that when he's booked on a show, he's gonna goof on 'em. It's all in good fun and it's just his persona; by all accounts, he's actually a kind old dude.

Scout there you go. It was a joke that he made but he was being honest and like you said, you better watch out. Don don't play that when he's on your show.
