As if Dirty Sexy Money wasn't good enough on its own, tonight's episode not only had a cameo by Ty Treadway, but The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful star Darcy Rose Byrnes (Abby) also made an appearance as Kiki George, the daughter of Nick (Peter Krause). In the episode Kiki shares touching scenes with Karen Darling (Natalie Zea) as Natalie reveals her less Darling, human side. In my opinion they were some of the best scenes that Natalie has had in the season-and-a-half the show has been on the air.
Did you enjoy Karen and Kiki's scenes?

Natalie was way better than Liza as Gwen. Darcy is actually the third actress playing Kiki on DSM.

And it is too bad because Alec Baldwin was on "Larry King" last night with Joy Behar as guest host. She asked him about his brother Billy, who Alec clearly admires, but also told Joy that he was upset for Billy because "Dirty Sexy Money" has been canceled. It is too bad because that show was one of the best, most well-written shows, let alone soapy, that has come along the networks in a long time. I guess because the Darlings were so wealthy that each episode cost over 3$ million to produce and as we know, TV is getting hit hard by less advertisers and all this economic mess. In the meantime, I turn to my soaps and a show like this to escape from the painful reality that my hard-earned 401K and other mutual funds and savings have all been hit. Luckily, I am young enough to make up for it in time. I so wish this show had a bigger, more deserving audience for it's creativity and acting, writing and production because now us loyal few have to suffer.

Gnatalie is a third-rate hack who did not know how to play Gwen Hotchkiss. She was a boring, lifeless corpse. Thank God Liza Huber returned because she was FIERCE in that role!! Liza's Gwen was the only one who could go toe-to-toe with Lindsay Hartley's Theresa. Gnat's Gwen was a dull, scheming, manipulative, pushover. Remember when that skank arrnaged for the "truth" about the tabloid to come out at Theresa and Ethan's wedding? 7.5 years later and I'm still furious...
And I'll never watch DSM because of it!

Umm, yeah, because Natalie wrote the storylines...

No, Jamey, it was the smug way that Gnatalie played Gwen that made me want to **** her!!

During my summer vacation in Ghana in 01, Passions aired from the beginning and I saw Liza on as Gwen. She was flat and I thought Lindsay ate her alive and she was flat in the beginning too.
At the end of my vacay I resume to watch Passions and I stuck w/it until it went to Direct TV. I Natalie was an improvement over Liza and I hated to see her go, but thank God she did b/c her Karen Darling is one of the most underatted characters in Primetime right now and that is all Natalie.
I think it's pretty funny Natalie and her rumor love Ethan #1 has found sucess outside of Daytime. Travis Schuldt did an great comedic stint on Scrubs.

But Gnat's Gwen did nothing. It was Rebecca who orchestrated all of the schemes against Theresa during that time period. She was more of an annoying background character who came around every so often to be smug and rude to Theresa.
Her Gwen was too subtly wicked and cruel (which irritates me), whereas Liza's Gwen was much more in-your-face with her evilness (which I'm okay with).
The only good thing about her stint was that for the last year and a half, she averaged maybe two appearances a month (unlike Liza who was on every day).

Subtle: good.
Over-the-top scenery chewing, Erica Kane lite: Bad.

Subtle: stupid. Clearly you didn't watch Passions--it wasn't a subtle show.
And as for Liza, she SHOULD be Erica Kane lite: she's Susan Lucci's daughter!
Oh well, you didn't get Passions. That's okay.
