Days of Our Lives Rumors Swirl, Deidre Hall Out?

Days can't survive without Drake and Deirdre so they think that fans want to see hair models trying to act is desperate planning on their part and the ratings will drop dramatically.

Is Days just stupid or what? Let's get rid of the main lead actress on your show to keep newbies like Melanie around, really. This is why you will lose more fewers.

No way would they be stupid enough to get rid of Deidre Hall. Absolutely could not believe that. I think it's possible they were thinking about it, but fan response will erase any thought of it.

Yea there has been rumors about DH leaving for months now, her contract was up in August i believe and there was all sorts of worry over negotiations but then everything 'died down', well Drake was reported to be leaving so of course she is leaving as well.

I posted about this in the forums, the way this will play out is for a open ended sunset ending for the two.

Do i think its the smartest move DAYS could make? No i think they are shooting themselves in the foot, but i really think it is safe to now say DAYS is the worst soap on t.v. right now and GL gets it bump up above the nbc crap again.

This is the worst news ive ever heard.If i was head of nbc daytime this is the plan of action i would take.

1.Appoint a new headwriter stat my personal choice would be michael malone or josh grifith.
2.With passions dead start some croosovers with harmonys most popular characthers.Witch trials were held in salem after all maybe tabs and endora can put stakes down in salem.
3.Melanie gets a opportunity of a lifetime and leaves salem.
4.Theresa winthrop arrives and falls in lovewith brady aka ethan

I am not looking forward to 18 months of Melanie, Nicole, Passions guys, Abe, and Lexie without having people like Dee and Drake to alleviate some of the pain.

As long as it is not Molly Burnett(Melanie), Shelley Hennig(Steph), Rachel Melvin(Chelsea), Darin Brooks(Max), Ari Zuker(nicole), Blake Berris(nick) and James Scott(EJ) I am perfect fine with cast cuts. The actors i have named are the only reason i watch days of our lives.

I feel Sorry for Drake and Deidre and their fans but if the show can't pay them and them being the highest budget players, i could see them doing this.

quite honest, Molly Burnett(Melanie) is the #1 reason i watch days of our lives. I love her, she is the best actress Days has hired in a long time. She is truly a find on Days, she is one hell of an actress and i love her. She is so beautiful and man i just love Molly. She is my future wife.

Melanie is the best addition to happen to days in a long long time, the last best addition was Shelley Hennig and Shawn Christian.

Days are finally taking risks by NOT RELYING ON THE VETS. They are going to build the show around Nicole, EJ, Sami, Max, Melanie, Stephanie, Chelsea, Nick and Philip. Which IMO is a very smart move plus with JKJ and a possible recast Philip, the triangle of Steph/Phil/Melanie is still on.

and for the Blake Berris leaving, HE IS NOT. That has yet to come from a reliable source. Nick belongs with Melanie, they are a future supercouple and i am sure that they can work past the stuff and become stronger.

Molly Burnett and Shelley Hennig are the #1 reason i watch days, i love them.

Okay i have to speak up for the passions guys, THEY ARE NOT THAT BAD! Heck they are better then most of the recent DAYS casting (Melanie, Willow, the chick who stole Claire, Morgan, Jeremy Horton, Turbo Prop, etc).

Heck they are barely even on, its the flipping Nick/Melanie/STAX show, so leave the poor passions people alone.

IF Passions was still around or JER was writing then i would have loved a crossover.

Crane industries could go into war with Titan and could you see Theresa vs. Victor that would have been awesome.

And it would have been a way for passions to live on, but its over now and it just needs to stay dead lol, all that brining on 'characters' from passions will do is piss off DAYS fans (and rightfully so).

*cough* AW/ ATWT crossover, look how well that turned out -.- i don't want Ethan and Theresa to die as well lol *cough*

Anyways Passions had hit some highpoints in the demos before the first cancellation happened, then JER stalled everything and the show went to utter crap.

I don't believe for a second they are firing Diedra and Drake. Look at the way the news of Drake's firing came down. They are taking him off the canvas.

I totally believe they will be putting both of them back on canvas as soon as they finish with their firings of other characters. They're going to write several characters off the show then bring J & M back. That's what I believe at least.

Well I guess DAYS is finally adopting every other soaps method. Get rid of the vets that cost the most!

I think they will give him his 3 months (6, year) and then get rid of him if he doesn't turn out to be a fan favorite.

I requested a Stephanie Rape Storyline and i got it last year. Corday and the Writers listen to me. i am now making requests on the comment line about a RAPE STORYLINE FOR MELANIE cause Molly Burnett would put any actress to shame in that type of story.

Molly Burnett(Melanie) is the best actress on Days and in daytime. I worship Molly, she is the sexest, cutest, the sweetest and most down to earth actress on days. I met her at the Day of Days event, omg she was so bubbly and had a smile on, she was so so sweet.

I wouldn't be surprised if Molly is the first days actress in the last 10-15 years to be nominated for an emmy. Molly Burnett is one hell of an actress and is the future of days of our lives plus she is the love of my life.
