BREAKING NEWS: Hall and Hogestyn Reportedly Cut "Sans Negotiations"!

Since news of Days of Our Lives executive producer Ken Corday's unheard of move to fire his soap's two top stars first broke online, the big question has been, were Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn offered  the opportunity to take a pay cut? According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Weekly, they weren't.

Setsiders report the veteran stars, both of whom command big salaries, were informed they were being written off the show sans negotiation."

OK thats it Ive held this in as I can so here goes. I'm to understand that Deidre and Drake didn't even get contract negotiations. Thats wrong. They have been on this show 20+ years. At the very least they deserve negotiations. I officialy belive that KC is trying to kill his parents legacy. Viewers are turning away in droves and Days deserves this. Drake and Dee desever better and I hope they never return as much as I love them.

Deidre Hall's website had this to say:

Contract Status

* Deidre's contract has not been renewed and she will be leaving Days in January 2009

It says on her message board that her last airdate is 1/23/09.

I remember when Marlena first came to Salem. Can't imagine it without her. DAYS continues its downward spiral.
