Is Bryan Dattilo (Lucas) the Days vet rumoured to be on his way out? Well, it sure looks that way. While I couldn’t confirm this as fact, close sources to the show inform The Suds Report, “Along with EJ, Galen Gering’s coming in as Sami’s new love, so it doesn’t look good for our cad, Lucas.
Would you quite watching Days of Our Lives if Dattilo left?

If he was fired that's crappy. After being away for months and being told he'd be coming back with a kickn' story-- only to be fired would suck. I wouldn't stop watching Days if he left but I would be really sad to see him go. Lucas is one of those Days characters that's a constant. I just expect to see him on my screen.
Hell yes! I will quite watching if he's gone.

Wasn't there an a report saying that GG's character was sharing airtime with Sami but he was going to be interested in Nicole. Sorry not buying that part of the report. Sounds like speculation.
And if BD is leaving I doubt it was his own decision.

Whether BD quits/is fired isn't going to effect my DAYS viewing. That's not a reflection on BD.. frankly, DAYS has always had a "Lucas problem" IMO. I didn't read Branco's article but I would assume he also mentioned that Brady coming back wasn't a good sign for the Lucas/Chloe pairing...

Well then Dena is an idiot. Not that I needed this to prove that. Lucas is a Horton and a Roberts, plus the Lumi fan base is large and vocal. Nicole is popular, but not in the face of the Lumi fans.

I'm going to have to agree with Jamey.
I am an EJami fan through and through, but if it's a choice between Ari or BD....I wish they would get rid of Ari. I wouldn't cry if they both left, but still, at least Lucas has connections on the show. They are really starting to write him in good way I think. Lucas and Sami work as friends and I liked seeing him with Chloe. (And trust me, that surprises the hell out of me!)
And I believe I was the one who asked the question: Who is Ari boinking backstage? Serioulsy, I would bet BD has more fans than she does. And quite frankly this chick has eaten up the damn show.

I'm totally baffled. Even as a huge EJami fan I've never wanted to see BD fired but just moved away from EJ and Sami.
If I were a Lucas fan I'd be supremely pissed right now if BD gets kicked to the curb and one of the reasons is his relationship with AZ..When did she become so important.??? Oh right. Dena loves Ari/Nicole..Enough said.

It's Dena being Dena and that means PLOT driven. SNOOZE! I haven't enjoyed Days for a while now. I care about the CORE families (Hortons, Bradys) and how they interact off of those families. Lucas is an integral character. He's a Horton, flawed, not perfect and strikes a good balance that way. He's an interesting character because of his problems.
I think Nicole coming back from the get go was a waste of time. I was NEVER a fan of the character and was happy to see her go the first time. I understand that they brought her back to spar with Sami, but really, there's NOTHING new coming from their feud. It's all old stuff that gets rehashed OVER and OVER again!
What works: John/Marlena, Anna with anyone (LOVE her sparring with Kate), Bo/Hope, Victor exploring history with Caroline (they SO need to be together! I want a love story dealing with, gasp, characters over 60. What is wrong with me? I'm a 25+ year viewer who likes HISTORY and CHARACTER development!)
What doesn't: EJ impregnating everyone (SLOPPY writing if you can even call it that!), Melanie, Max's desire to look into his past (why not explore his race car past and his playboy ways? I mean Steph has a history in that too. It links them better too.), Nicole...period.

Sami is being stalked so I think it could be Lucas. She and Nicole are preggers with EJ's baby, surely, that would drive him insane. But knowing Days, stories turn on a dime depending who is allowed to write the show that week. Any maybe after me leaking this, they won't fire him.Who knows. Let's not forget Ali will also be on mat leave, so what purpose does Bryan serve?

Not a fan of Lucas and I wouldn't be at all sorry to see him disappear. But I don't think he's going anywhere. Usually when a character/actor gets the boot on Days, they disappear for weeks or months on end and then suddenly pop up only to be killed off or leave town unexpectedly. Doesn't look that way for Lucas judging by the episodes that I've seen. I think Branco got some bad info. The vet is probably someone who we haven't seen for awhile.

As it is the LUMI fan base has been upset for some time now with the s/l keeping Sami and Lucas apart. Many have stopped watching and are waiting for the reunion they are sure is coming because they believe Ken Corday's core themes of family and true love overcoming all obstackes will prevail. Even those who have stopped watching make sure to check to see when there is any interaction between Sami and Lucas. After all these two have gone through and how their friendship grew into love and their love made them better people their fans have always maintained they would get back together. Just this week the way Lucas stood by Sami when he found her passed out and then they found out she was pregnant gave us hope no matter what they could get pass it and find their way back to each other. So Hell yes if Bryan leaves, most of us , LUMIs will go with him.

I agree season.
Except Days kept screwing up at every turn of the road with these three. And throwing in extra people (Nicole, Chloe) didn't make it more enjoyable at all. Just more frustrating for every fan.
