Victor Webster Man of Steel?

Could former Days of Our Lives hunk Victor Webster be the next man of steel? Nelson Branco is reporting in his latest Suds Report that Webster is auditioning for the role of Clark Kent in a darker and edgier Superman movie.

Brandon Routh out?! This better be some malicious rumor or someone's idea of a cruel joke. Brandon's the only reason I can watch that movie!

It's not a joke, word has been that he's off whatever future Superman movies are made, the Webster stuff is new. Also, Warner Bros has decided that because of Batman's success they are going to turn every DC comic book movie dark and brooding (sort of sounds like GH huh?). Personally, I think this is a huge mistake because Batman is one of DC's darkest characters and I just don't see how you write Clark Kent as dark and brooding.

Although Brandon's superman was a great movie from JJ Abrahams it did not produce the revenue and buzz the studio wanted. When Batman and Ironman came out, the studio knew they needed to go in another direction with Superman (without Brandon). I do not think going for an unknown would be the way to go but i do not see anyone being able to pull of this role like Christian Bale did for the Batman franchise.
What character did this guy play...Nicholas Alamain?

Brandon was not the problem in Superman Returns. Bad story was! Who the hell would have brought property on that dump of land Lex was pushing?! What about Kate Bosworth, she was woefully miscast! I liked The Dark Knight but not every comic book movie has to take that route. Superman is not Batman and these dummy execs need to figure that out! I want Brandon!!!!

LMAO Season Chris Reeve and Margot Kidder were older too, Dean and Teri could bring sexy back to Superman! Dean was the smartest, wittiest Clark Kent I've ever seen and Teri's spoiled princess version of Lois is my all-time favorite.
