Natalia Cigliuti Raising Her Bar

Last week Raising the Bar premiered on TNT and even though it stars TV staples Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Jane Kaczmarek and Currie Graham, I found the dialogue delivery to come off as a bit "canned" and I wasn't sure I wanted to check out the second episode. However, given my love for The Closer and Saving Grace, I figured why not give it a second chance?
Other than Boston Legal, I haven't really enjoyed a legal drama since The Practice so I didn't really pay attention to the cast of Raising the Bar. Imagine my confusion last night when an actress appeared who I couldn't quite place, but seemed oh so familiar. At first I thought it was Sex and the City star Kristin Davis but, I knew there was no way in hell that an "A List" star like Davis would be playing 5th fiddle on a TNT show. So, I did a little digging last night and discovered that the reason was that the actress in question was former All My Children star Natalia Cigliuti (Anita Santos).
I wasn't the biggest fan of the actress in her All My Children role, but I have to admit she actually did a pretty good job as Roberta "Bobbi" Gilardi. Turns out that after leaving Pine Valley, Natalia raised her own bar.

I think that when it comes to the entertainment industry the Sex and the City ladies qualify as A List...they can get on any TV show, their fashion is followed on every red carpet, their movie made tons of money and their TV show still sells tons of DVDs.

I would say collectively they would be considered A-List but individually they couldn't sell a movie ticket if they were scalpers!

Oh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Closer and Saving Grace. Both are really good shows! I have to tell you honestly that the reason I didn't watch this was because they pissed me off with the dang commercials. Talk about OVERKILL, holy Peter, Paul and Mary. I was so sick of seeing the previews I deliberately boycotted the premiere!
I want a character like Grace on GH. Seriously and I don't want her to fall in love with anyone, I don't want her to get a case of the mangina blues and turn into Kate-Hannah-Sonya-Reno-whoever the strong willed character they throw in with Sonny is... before she is rendered non-comus-dementi by a little of the godfather love.

Hey, why no mention of Teddy Sears (ex-Chad, OLTL), whose face is covered by the arrow?

Belinda, I agree with you that Saving Grace and the Closer should be prime examples of what strong, independent women should be like and that soap fans are tuning in because they are strong, but vulnerable on the inside too. On soaps, when a character is with someone, they change completely to fit something that does not resonant with people. I sick of a women changing for a man instead of being happy with someone because she is in love with him.

OMG. Equarter! I completely forgot that Natalia was on Saved by the Bell! The New Class, right? I remember Richard Jackson, Jonathan's brother, was also on that show for a while. Man, that brings back memories.
Question: This is off topic but similar to it. Does anybody remember the shows Hang Time and California Dreams?
