Lisa Rinna on possible Melrose remake

What could be better than a 90210 remake? How about a Melrose Place remake? Lisa Rinna revealed to Mark Malkin at E! Online that there is a possibility of Melrose returning.

"I've heard a rumor of them bringing back the show like they did 90210," Rinna said at TV Guide's post-Emmy party. "I heard that it's somewhere at the CW."

No surprise, but Ms. Rinna would jump at the chance to reprise her role as Taylor McBride. "I would do it in a heartbeat," she said.

Melrose Place ran from 1992 to 1999. "Let's bring it on," Rinna squealed. "Melrose, 10 years later!"

If Melrose were to return, who would you like see return of the original show's cast? Doug Savant and Marcia Cross are on Desperate Housewives. Kristin Davis could be filming a Sex and the City sequel. Jack Wagner is on The Bold and the BeautifulRob Estes is on 90210. Kelly Rutherford is on Gossip Girls. Josie Bissett is on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Courtney Thorne-Smith is stuck on According to Jim, which returns in 2009.

Of the Melrose cast, it would appear that Heather Locklear, Lisa Rinna, Grant Show and Thomas Calabro are the few major Melrose alum who aren't already cast members on hit or buzzworthy TV shows or movies.

I wonder what Grant Show's choice will be if this is true.Wink

And According to Jim is still on the air?! Freaks and Geeks gets cancelled! Arrested Development gets cancelled! But this show is still on the air!

Honestly, the only star a new remake of Melrose would need would be Heather, everyoone else would just be bonus.

Not Lisa! LOL I love me some Lisa, but bringing her character back for a Melrose update would make about as much since as bringing Vanessa Marcil back for 90210. Taylor was a late-in-the-game character, not one of the iconic characters that made the show a hit. My vote is center it around Josie Bisset's Jane Mancini, now a wealthy, powerful fashion designer. One of the 90210 teens could get a summer internship at House of Mancini

Oh don't even get me started on According to Jim....Smith is stuck on it after being on both Melrose and Ally McBeal....she would have been perfect on Desperate Housewives and she's stuck on According to Jim.

With some of the characters, I'm not sure how some of them would return. Doug Savant, Kristin Davis and Laura Leighton's characters were all killed off either on or off screen. Courtney Thorne-Smith needs to be on something that will remind people she's a working actress. (Has anyone actually SEEN "According to Jim"?)

Patrick Muldoon, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bissett and Daphne Zuniga haven't been THAT busy, so maybe they can do it. I agree with Jamey in that Lisa Rinna was cast too late in the game to have made any real impression. Hell, if that's the case, I'd rather Tiffani Theissen or Alyssa Milano instead.

Daphne Zuniga is on One Tree Hill these days, so she's also tied up in a show that has a decent following...

The 4 actors who are left without jobs would be all the show needs, especially Heather & Thomas.
I would DIE if Alyssa returned as Jennifer Mancini!

Heather Locklear on a rebooted MP - yay! That would be awesome. Josie Bisset, not so much Sad I was always praying crazy Kimmy would finish off dull, dull Jane... but it was the two feisty gingers who died (Kimberley and Sydney). Boo!
