General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
Jason and Liz are happy and going away together, after the wedding. Well, clearly that’s an anvil that the wedding won’t take place therefore, they won’t.
All of Kate’s little "sky is falling" problems have resolved themselves before the wedding. Well, clearly that’s another anvil that the wedding won’t take place.
Anthony shows up to try to make peace with Sonny. Anvil number three. Gee, without spoiling for the spoiler free, who wants to take bets that the wedding won’t happen?
Speaking of Anthony, he gets the psychic of the day award. How did he know Sonny would be at the church at that moment to go and talk to him?
The WTH Award goes to Nikolas. He wants to buy the hotel because he can see it from his front porch? Did I hear that correctly?
The stupid award goes to Nadine. Love the girl, but stowing away on one of Karpov’s boats? Really?
The cute award goes to Nikadine at the hospital. Loved that she was all “what do prince’s do anyway?” and he was all, “I work”.
The hotter than hot award goes to ClauRic, who had more chemistry in that one scene, walking around, drink in hand, talking, flirting, than Liason have had in two years combined (sorry Liason fans!!)
The petulant award of the day goes to Lulu. Good lord girl, stop frakin’ whining. The only thing she didn’t do was stomp her feet like a two year old.
I totally wanted to see Carly’s head explode when she found the truth about Kate, but instead she just seemed thrilled that Sonny knew Connie from the block.
I liked Kate and Olivia together and I loved that Olivia kept calling her Connie and Kate kept correcting her in that annoyed, icy tone. I want Olivia to stick around, just so she can annoy Kate on a daily basis.

Claudia and ric are hot but they are no LiRic. That will always be Liz's and Ric's hottest pairing!
After a year of ranting and raving that Kate doesn't really know the real Sonny and Sonny doesn't know the real Kate, Carly took the news well. She should have been pissed she was lied to by Sonny at least. So all the yelling and getting mad at kate was just Carly being jealous. Just wait until she finds out Jax knew.
I really hope Olivia stays and hooks up with "prince" Nik. One of Nik's hottest pairings was with older woman Katherine. I would love to see a girl from the neighborhood, who doesn't need saving, hook up with Prince Lancelot. Nik is so use to saving his damsels in distress he wouldn't know what to do with himself with a girl like Olivia.

loll Perkie, you and I don't think like the rich and royal. oh ur totally right about Claudia and Ric, i dont think it would matter what the heck they talk about, they just sizzle together. Liz and Jason- not so much, i always need to FF so that I don't fall asleep during their scenes. I also wanted Carly to flip out, I'm tired of things always workin out for her, I hope this divorce with Jax sticks, she needs to spend more time with the son she has left and less with following Jax onto airplanes and handcuffing herself to him

Don't worry, Carly will spend more time with both of her boys. First, they have to grow up and then they will be old enough to date Liz and Jason's daughter. She will be born in about a year. Her name will be, of course, Emily. Carly will be happy that it is Jason's little girl but will be upset about the Liz factor. Tough luck on her.

Okay... not related to anything in particular, but am I the only one that is absolutely dying to get a new opening?! I am sick of seeing Emily's dead head, Logan, Michael, Alan, etc. Update some of the other people with some new pics... and if it is not too much to ask... let's get a new ending so that we don't have to look at all of the additional dead men on that shot. They can still have Luke get out of his chair and walk off because when my oldest daughter was about three she said that she thought Luke had to get up to go pee... LOL... We have laughed at her for years and we still give her a hard time about that. I think I might miss that if they re-do the ending.

The first marriage was actually their 3rd wedding. 1st wedding Liz found out Lucky was no longer in love with her. I think Jax stopped the 2nd due to the surrogacy.

I agree about the opening. Those shots are so old, they might as well put Ruby and Mary Mae Ward and Frank Smith back in! Half of those characters are dead or comatose. I enjoyed the sizzling Ric/Claudia. As a LiRic fan, I'd like her to be jealous of Liz, so we could have more of those Sarah Brown yelling at Rebecca Herbst scenes I used to enjoy so much when SB was Carly.

Looking forward to the wedding, I guess. GH has out done themselves with the anticipation surrounding this one. Is there anyone left buying the happy ever after. Makes me sick.
Its completely disheartening to anyone who has enjoyed SKate to have some obscure character blow into town and take a romantic destiny love story and turn it into the predictable soap doom and gloom. Any of you Liason fans that want to see your peeps happy - don't wish for them to get married it will most certainly spell disaster.

Some of us are a little apprehensive about a new opening. We'd love one BUT am a little afraid that Alan won't be in it... Yeah, we know...he's dead but...not gone! And some of us are still in denial about the stupid decision to kill him off. I think that Alan, Monica and Mac have been the only faces in every opening since they started showing faces in 93. Kind of hard to swallow that another vet gets cut.

oh so glad that others see the lack of chem between liz and jason. for me, no matter who else is destroyed, no matter how romantic the storyline is intended or the obstacles that scream starcrossed lovers (or in this case starcrossed history rewrites) if there is no chemistry, i can't buy the couple. this couple i can't buy.

I'm hoping Skate do make it through their ceremony and then honeymoon to Sonny's island and stay there forever. Sonny loves "Connie Falconeri" not Kate and Kate wants to change Sonny. They are marrying the person they want the other to be rather than who they really are. How could Sonny love someone who is so embarassed of her past, the same past that he came from? It doesn't make sense, especially to those of us who were watching during the original years of Ned and Lois, when neither Sonny or the Cerullos ever mentioned the Falconeris or Connie, Sonny's great love. As much as I like Carly and Jax together, I think Kate and Jax would make a better paring. Sonny and Carly will always be in each other's blood.
As for Ric and Claudia, the sparks were definitely flying today. SB reminded me of Carly 1.0 The Early Years today when she was charming everyone in town just to screw them over. I loved that Carly. I can't wait to see the look on Sonny's face when Ric shows up with Claudia at the wedding. Between that and Carly's knowledge that Kate is Connie Falconeri, let the fireworks begin!

I wanted Carly to finally get silenced once & for all about how she's the only woman that knows Sonny so well. She should have blown a gasket to know that Kate has known Sonny for almost 25 years, way before he even gave a shit about who Caroline Benson was. Kate should have been the one to tell Carly.
And I still don't undestand why she's going to this wedding. Why would Jason escort her to this wedding when he knows that Carly is a loose cannon and lives to cause trouble for Sonny & Kate?
Even though Olivia & Kate aren't close, why would Liv just go blabbing her cousin's business to a total stranger? She didn't know if Carly was out to get Kate or not. I'm pretty sure that she loves her cuz, so why dish with one of Sonny's exes about her?

I was also disappointed with Carly's reaction. I thought the whole point of bringing kate from Brooklyn was to challenge the notion that Carly or Brenda was his first true love. if that's the case, finding out Kate came before Brenda should have been a truly shocking reveal for Carly and explain Sonny's immediate attraction to her.

I was not disappointed in Carly's response to Kate's past. You could just see her wheels turning. This is the one time that she doesn't need to scheme to get what she wants. She is going to watch it fall apart in front of her. I personally can't wait!
Although, she will be pissed when she finds out that Jax has known all along.

I'm really digging Olivia, I hope she sticks around.
Lulu, why bother getting help if you don't want it. I mean she's plain nuts, but she still knows better than everybody else. Johnny is so not worth it, or worth the screen time he's getting.
Claudia is always good. Johnny telling her he barely could hold it and not beat the crap out of Lucky, when exactly would he have been able to do that? Perhaps when Lucky had him in a choke hold and pinned to the wall? That line, I laughed my butt off, man I hate Johnny and Lulu, they should run off together and never been seen or heard of again.
I so wanna see what Anthony has got up his sleeve.

Aunt Keppy I think we ALL want a new opening....they keep saying one is coming but that was months ago. Nobody likes a tease.
But now Alan is still around, albeit as Tracys conscience (did I spell that right, so tech he's still on). Deft need new pics though FOR ALL OF THEM. No, I don't want Luke walking off, that is just weird even 100 yrs later.....LOL how old is your daughter now? That will tell us how old this stupid opening is? LOL

Yeh that sounds great! I wish they would honeymoon to the island never to be seen again. She was a total bitch yesterday. I get why she did why she did. But to have no contact with at least her parents??
And yesterday when Olivia was calling her Connie and she kept correcting her, I was getting annoyed watching, KATE is an embarrasement, I'm sure I would've loved Connie though. Connie/Kate is why I first fell in love with Sonny again when Kate first came on the show. Kate is a total snob and I can't wait til she's outed.
Yeh Ric and Claudia are hot. I still don't like Claudia though. Yeh maybe that's what it is...SBr -Carly 1.0 the early yrs. Hmmm Today will be good I think.

I don't see any chemistry at all between Rick and Claudia because of the way the characters have been written. Ric is rigidly contained these days and Claudia is such a manipulator any portrayal of emotion between the two can't be trusted. Each of them knows it too. How can there be any heat when there is no emotional involvement, even momentary, between them? I don't think either of them has ever had an honest emotion, even Claudia's obsession with Johnny rings of falseness.
Old Man Z is as psychotic as they come. His sidetrip to the church to make amends with Sonny has nothing to do with peace and everything to do with revenge. AZ is much like a Klingon in that: Revenge is a dish best served cold. If Sweeps involves a funeral, let's hope Anthony is in the casket.
Looks like we are going to be served up another dish of Sonny's favorite cuisine -- betrayal. He needs to take a look at why he is betrayed by so many of his closest and dearest. HMMMMMM.
The new opening presentation for GH should just announce that it's Mob Central and get on with all the violence. Forget the hospital; the writers have. Forget the legacy characters and old families of Port Charles; the writers have. Forget that the average viewer is still female; the writers have.
Rgarding Carly: Why does GH continue to foster and enhance the selfish and contemptible behavior of this character by allowing her to succeed? The breakup with Jax has done nothing to educate Carly; she is just as self-involved as ever. The scenes with Olivia and Carly were absurd. Niether woman acted logically. This whole Olivia story line rings false and poorly planned.
I rather like Liason. At least Jason is less of a Borg when he interacts with her. Like many of you I am well beyond tired of and bored with the push-me/pull-me play between them.
Nik and Olivia? You've got to be kidding! Olivia and Trevor maybe.
