Does this mean that the Days brass has been reading the postings of the Daytime Confidential fans? Many of the readers, including myself, have voiced the opinion that March would be the perfect recast of Eric Brady, the role vacated by Supernatural star Jensen Ackles. Our Jamey had him pegged for a wishful casting along with Noelle Beck and look how that turned out.
Would you like to see him on Days or another ABC soap?

WOW! What a coup this could be for DOOL. A real one, two, three, BAM! casting punch for the show. With the steamy, sexy Galen Gering and Eric Martsoft as an FBI agent and "Brady Black" respectively, the addition of Forbes March as possibly the new "Eric Brady," not only is the show increasing it's male hotness factor, it has presented 3 really great, interesting, solid cat choices for 2 legacy characters that are intimately tied to the core families of Salem. I am not sure who is heading the casting department at DOOL but whomever he/she is, they are doing an incredible job lately. From the actor who plays "Daniel Jonas" (oh the memory-loss of getting older), Tamara Braun, Joe Penny (despite their short arcs on the show), getting Joe Mascolo back (although that was probably Corday's doing) and now these latest, sudden announcements, the casting on this show has been a really talented, attractive, "name" pool of actors lately. My excitement grows at the thought that they are actually thinking long-term, that DOOL has much more life left then many predeict and that we, as viewers, can finally enjoy what could make the show so great, a return to the main core, organic story and the return of the characters that we have watched being born through the teen years and now young adulthood. DOOL has always been pretty consistent with that, still having Sami, Lucas, Philip and in the past, Carrie, Austin, Shawn-D and Belle. The show needs to reinforce it's new generation of heroes, anti-heroes, heroines and bitches. This is a great sign. Forbes was just coming into his own as an actor when OLTL, I feel, stupidly let him go and killed his character off after tying him to the main family of the show and being the father of a new generation of Buchanan/Lords. He is also a hot, sexy buck ready to ride and be ridden but that's a different story:)

Dang, I thought this was going to say they were casting March as Brady instead of Martsolf, who I'm just so not a fan of, after watching him on Passions for years. March is a nice piece of eye candy, though, for sure, even if his acting abilities are questionable.

I hear ya!! I watched Days as a teen and tried again in my late 20's early 30's but 5 mins of Sami and I tuned out. I miss Forbes though, so I guess I'll have to tune in if I want my Forbes fix. I think that is great casting though...he and Allison kinda sorta have the same eyes...they could pass for sibs. I'd rather see him on an ABC soap though...

If I had my way, Forbes would stay in the ABC family. They should bring him back on AMC for a short while as Scott, have him reconnect with the family, set him up with a job at Chandler. Then, have him make a trip to Llanview for whatever reason, where he runs into Tess/Jess. Obviously, he won't be Nash, but I'd love to see Tess/Jess fall for the lookalike and try to get him to fall in love with her. Perhaps he's attached or something, or there's some sort of challenge that would keep Tess/Jess from getting him too soon. Adam could be pushing Scott into the relationship as well, with thoughts of a business merger or something with Chandler and BE. And can you imagine--a Chandler/Buchanan union?! Think of the possibilities!

Oh man!! Michael Horton, my fave recast MH was ..........Michael T. Weiss I believe. My memory is very bad now but I believe that iswho he was. Oh man....he was so yum back then. I think casting Forbes as Eric is great, he and Sami could totally pass for sibs.

DOOL is really heavy with hot, hot, hot guys -- most of whom are young enough to be my grandson, but so what! Eye candy is good and I have a sweet tooth. Guess I am going to have to figure out a way to get by on less sleep so I can catch the show on SoapNet more often.

I love that idea, if only the writers will listen to you !! I love Forbes March and miss him as Nash...OLTL made a big mistake in letting him go. I love your take on the AMC/OLTL look like though. I don't watch AMC, but will watch anything if Forbes March is on it.
