Entertainment Weekly just published the 26 Queens of the Castle: Our Favorite TV Housewives and it includes the Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman.

This list got me thinking. If you had to compile a 26 Queens of the Castle: Our Favorite Daytime Housewives who would you include on the list?
I'd start my list off with One Life to Live's Marcy McBain, granted she's not much of a homemaker since she lives in a hotel but she sure has been a "desperate housewife" now hasn't she.
Here are the first five names that come to mind.
- Marcy McBain (Kathy Brier), One Life to Live
- Carly Snyder (Maura West), As the World Turns
- Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Days of Our Lives
- Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), General Hospital
- Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman), The Young and the Restless

LMAO!!!! Well as little screentime as she gets on the show she should be desperate...She only seems to appear for weddings, funerals, sex scenes and diaper changes.

Can we list Housewives from shows no longer on the air, too? If so, I'd like to nominate from Another World Ada, Rachel Cory, and Amanda Fowler, as well as Sharlene Hudson, Frankie Frame, Vicky Hudson and Marley Love. Donna was always desperate, but I don't know if you could ever consider her a housewife, lol!
Also, no Housewife list would be complete without Valene Ewing and Karen McKenzie of Knots Landing. These women were the original desperate housewives, getting involvved in each other's lives, babysitting each other's kids, etc. Heck, Karen even RAISED one of her neighbor, Laura's kids after she died!
