#1 - TONE DOWN SAMI & ALL OF HER CRAP, THATS WHY I DONT WATCH THIS SOAP ANYMORE. SHE IS SO ANNOYING AND I DONT WANT TO SEE HER WHINING AND COMPLAINING EVERYDAY!!!
#2 - Just get rid of this horrible John's memories on a disk and it broke! HOW DUMB IS THAT????
#3 - Lucas dumb prison story has to go, just quit with the Sami and Lucas stuff!!! Kill Lucas off, he is so useless and boring

They are the only two i can say because i have not watched DAYS in a while and am not up to date with stories, but when i do try to watch it usually i turn it off with in 15 minutes cause it's writing and storyline's are so often horrible, I loved DAYS so much so it is sad to not be able to watch it anymore.

If the writers read the message boards I think they would figure out what most fans want.
1. Give the vets more s/l. We want to see Marlena/John, Bo/Hope, Tony/Anna and most importantly Steve/Kayla.
2. Have more romance. We love to see couples fall in love slowly and be able to build up to other things (break-ups, triangles). Don't just through these new couples together.
3. Put Sami with EJ or just break them up already. Don't continue to give us false hope for this couple that most Days fans can't get enough of. It is obvious that Lucas and Chloe have chemistry and they will be together so what is holding them back from putting Ejami back together? I love Nicole also and I will admit that she and EJ do have a certain chemistry together also but I still want EJ with Sami.
4. Please no more STAX! I love both characters/actors seperately but together it just doesn't work. Not because they don't have chemistry, because they do, but because they are related. Why can't Steph fall for Nick and Max can get a new girl.
5. Please do something about the Chelsea/Daniel/Kate fiasco. I actually thought that Chelsea and Daniel were kinda hot together at first. Now the writers couldn't find anything to write for them so they made up this s/l after the fact about Kate and Daniel having a fling. I wouldn't be so upset if they would have just had this happen for real on the show. I am still a little concerned though that this s/l was already told in a similar s/l with Billie and Nick. I am almost rooting for Daniel and Kate to get together though. Chelsea should be with someone her own age. Bring on a new guy for her that is atleast in college still or just graduated.
6. Bring Vivian Alamain back! We need some comedy on the show. She was so much fun to watch.

1. Same as days4ever. More Bo/Hope, Tony/Anna, Steve/Kayla. Give them compelling story lines.

2. Like many other soaps the young cast members are just not pulling there weight. They are continuing to give these characters major story lines but they're just not doing it for me. You have a character like Nick who gets nothing and has shown he can hold his own while Max is all over the place.

3. Also, I want Daniel to come over to see Chelsea and when he walks through the door Chris Hansen comes around the corner and says "I'm Chris Hansen, what are you doing here?"

I could only think of 7:
1. Remember how to tell a story. A story has a beginning, a middle and an end. Lately Days has been a series of "events" with no sense of direction.
2. Trim down the cast. I know it sounds cold, but there are too many people on the canvas. It makes no sense to bring on more characters when they can't figure out how to use the people they have.
3. Stay away from "issue" or "hot button" storylines. Days has never handled this kind of story well and their attempts usually come off as stupid and insulting (i.e. Jack is gay and Mimi's abortion). Days works best as pure fantasy and there's nothing wrong with that.
4. Stop re-writing history and start using it to tell better stories. Not only can I not figure out who the heck John's mother is, I don't care!
5. Find a reason for EJ to start moonlighting as a stripper!
6. Death has to mean something. Stop brining people back from the dead. I fully expect to hear any day that Shirley Jones is coming back as Grandma Brady.
7. Don't ever, ever hire James E. Reilly to write the show again. During his last run on Days the show nearly imploded. Don't hire him again. Ever.

Where can i watch Days online?
GL/AMC/ATWT/GH/B&B/Y&R Fans!!!!!!!!!

1. Get rid of Higley. She can't write a s/l to save her life.

2. Bring Sami spunk and fire back. I hate this waffling, can't make up her mind Sami that the show is springing on us. I want the Sami that scheme and manipulated to get what she wants.

3. Write a good s/l for Stefano that match the actor's talents.

4. Make EJ and Sami a couple or break them up permanently.

5. Bring back Eileen Davidson as Kristen/Susan to be involve in the Jawn's brainwashing scheme and have her cause trouble and have EJ mom back in town to found out about his antics and being with Sami. B&B is not using her, so let get ED back.

6. Keep Lucas and Chloe as a couple. They are hot and I sick of Lucas always tearing Sami down all the time. They have a fun and flirty side to them and it is different than any other couples.

7. Bring Vivian back to make Kate batty and go after Victor and the Alamain fortune.

8. Keep Tamara Braun back as AVa. She was refreshing and fun as Ava and I love her and Nicole's friendship.

9. Bring the autism s/l going on with Theo for Abe and Lexie to educate and bring awareness to the issue.

10. Let Bo and Hope be a romantic couple and solve crimes together.

11. Have a long-time plan for the soap, even if we don't know how long the soap will be on air.

Morgan,Cheasea ,Stephane Chole ,Nicole are all the same characters and we have Melenie who just like all the rest what happened to creating different character types because I just don`t see it and some other shows have the same probems to.

First and formost, BRING BACK THE ROMANCE!!!!!!

It's sad that in their advertised "Summer of Romance" there has been none. The sleazy elevator sex was my breaking point.

1) Put EJ and Sami together and stop disrespecting this fanbase. Write a good story for these two that doesn't involve yet another "triangle from hell".
2) Can we have on female character that doesn't act like a wailing shrew?
3) Give the men their brains back
4) No offense to Ari Zucker, but Days has turned into the Nicole show. She's has also turned my favorite Bad Boy EJ into a life coach. For this I will always loathe her.
5) Luloe.....who would have thought that I could actually tolerate Lucas and Chloe in a storyline!
6) Keep new John!!!

Oh and I forgot to say that I agree with purplebraids. If you are going to have so many female characters on the show, at least make them a little bit different. I'm sorry but I can't imagine characters like Chloe, Nicole, Morgan, or Stephanie as the future of Days. In fact, it kind of scares me.

1) Bring the Dimera's upfront and center and integrate them with Hortons and Bradys. Give them an storyline that's mysterious, full of intrigue and romance, and that will bump off Roman Brady. Josh Taylor will always be Chris Kositcheck and has yet to make Roman compelling to watch.
2) Give Tony and Anna an onscreen wedding. Put Leann Hunley on Contract for goodness sake. Give them a storyline to capitalize their talents.
3) Beef up the original core family and give them substance. How about Marie Horton (Nick's grandmother)? Marlena needs a girlfriend again. And Maggie needs someone else to talk to. Once upon a time, these three were all good friends. More should be seen of Mickey and Maggie.
4) Marry off Lucas and Chloe. And off the canvas.
5) Explore the love triangle for EJ/Sami/Nicole.
6) Kristen should return and since John is unable to recall her. It would revitalize the Kristen/John/Marlena. Kristen should use that as ammunition for her own goals. Marlena and Kristen should fight for John. And Nicole could find a friend in Kristen. Kristen would also be a thorn to Anna and Tony. Eileen Davidson is sorely missed.
7) Let Victor have some happiness finally with Caroline.
Re-open Dougs place. Julie and Doug should return permanently.

How about giving the war vet, Philip, a topical story about PTSD, or even just struggling with his wounds?

The list is long, but here goes:

1. The death of a character should mean something, therefore coming back from the dead for the umpteenth time is tired, old and really diminishes the strength of the story.

2. Play the favorites and let them be CONNECTED! I understand with budget and everything, it's hard to include everyone all of the time, but Marlena can be on without having to be with John. She has connections to Hope, Maggie, Lexie, etc. These are her friends. Don't isolate the characters because it diminishes the impact of a story. I enjoy events like the Horton Christmas and Brady 4th of July BBQs because I get to see characters INTERACT when they normally don't! They live in the same town so let them be together and be like REAL people! If Marlena is upset, she calls a girlfriend, not sulks in the background until she cries again because John can't remember! Hope can grab her to take her shopping. Sami can have a heart to heart with her. The point is, soaps deal with relationships and there's more to it than just a man and a woman.

3. EJ and Sami. Never should have happened! I don't care what people say, NOT a fan. I like EJ and all, but the mere fact that he raped her negates any rooting value for me. I can't get past that. It's a horrible act and to sweep it under the rug like nothing happened is wrong, especially in a medium that caters to females. EJ and Nicole work for me and he has changed and matured, but don't let him be with Sami...PERIOD!

4. Play off of history. EJ SHOT John! Now he's in cahoots with him? History needs to be acknowledged and to ignore it is a slap in the face to fans. Phillip terrorized Shawn and Belle to get to Claire and they ended up on Tinda Lame. Are you telling me Bo forgot all that and is now backing up Phillip just because? Actions have consequences. Just because Shawn is gone, doesn't mean that Phillip still isn't a jerk!

5. Balance. Drama is key to soaps, but so is humor! Vivian Alamian and Anna DiMera add to the fun of the soap. Tony and Anna had a fun camaraderie of humor between the 2 of them. Anna feuding with Kate was funny too, back when they were fighting over Roman/Tony. The food fight with Nicole/Sami/Chloe was funny but far too short! Being a viewer for 25+ years, I like to laugh just as much as I would like to cry with my characters! Keeping things balanced is important or else I hit the FF button.

6. Romance! Days is known for romance, the big sweeping beautiful tales that have made numerous supercouples. The problem is it's hard to pinpoint current supercouples. I always think of Bo/Hope, Roman (Wayne Northrop)/Marlena, Steve/Kayla, Jack/Jennifer, Shane/Kimberly. These couples came to life in the 80s! It's sad that there really isn't a CONSISTENT couple to root for on the soap! Sami wavers back and forth between EJ and Lucas! Also characters don't have to be shown having sex, but lead up to it. Numerous episodes of John and Marlena making love have been edited out, yet they are emphasized on Soap Opera Digest covers! Romance can start with a candlelight dinner to a caress with a passionate kiss. Whatever the reason for not showing love scenes in the veteran characters, it doesn't have to mean that what leads up to it has to be ignored too! Also, Tony and Anna got married. Great. I would have ENJOYED seeing them marry. It would have been awkward to see Roman in attendance as Anna and Roman were married. But first and foremost, these are BELOVED characters and we want to share in the good and the bad! To be denied a chance to catch such a HAPPY occasion is sad for fans! Also weddings can be romantic, hilarious, and draw all sorts of characters together to interact when they don't normally do. This supports the whole connection point earlier.

7. Variety is needed and decrease everyone being related to one another. Making Trent related to Max just further makes the show more incestuous as it already is (Are we turning into B&B?)! So many people are related to one another already. After all, Max and Steph are related and date. Chelsea dated Max, the list goes on. The point is, when a new character is brought on, make them connected to regular characters, but don't have them related by blood! Enough of that already! The family trees are confusing enough. Making John a DiMera further dilutes the connections and confuses the viewers.

8. Send Kate packing. I will always and forever LOVE Deborah Adair and LOVED her feuds with Vivian. The character has never been the same since. But Kate is just redundant! Sleeping with Daniel? Been there and done that with Chelsea/Nick/Billie. Repeating OLD storylines and to no benefit to anyone whatsoever. Other than Kate being every man's former whore (Stefano, Mario Vitali, there may have been another that I can't recall the name to), she really hasn't had much purpose. She doesn't even feud with Sami anymore! Ship her out of town and let the character rest.

9. Consistency. Lucas was beat up in prison and they called him Lucas Roberts at the hospital! Hello! He rejected it and called himself a HORTON! Just check your facts because even the minor ones are noticed by long time viewers!

10. Caroline and Victor. Make THEM a couple! I'm a younger viewer, but I would LOVE to see Victor and Caroline together as a couple. She's the good balancing out his mean/mobster-ish ways! They had an affair years ago, is it so bad to have them rekindle what once was with Shawn gone? You can totally write a ROMANTIC story for older characters!

11. Ditch Higley...period! She was ousted at OLTL for a reason! Ken Corday, what were you thinking? Hire new writers, don't recycle fired ones! There was a reason they were fired people!

I can't think of more, but there is much to be fixed! I've loved this show for so long and FF-ing through it is not something I want to do.

Oh, oh, I know. Since DAYS will be having very special episodes like Theo's autism why not have Max go to rehab. He can't deal with his problem of only getting romantically involved with his relatives. He decides to get help when he realizes that he is attracted to his sister and doesn't want to succumb to temptation.

1. More Romance
2. Stronger female characters
3. More S/K
4. A new romance that is on slow burn which I hope we get with Nick/Melanie.
5. End Chan, salvage Daniel by keeping him with Kate.

1. Use the proven chemistry of the vets! Now that Stefano is back John and Steve should team up to bring him down. Stefano and EJ did the same thing to both of them and they never talk about it?

2. Get these characters back to work! Careers should create natural conflicts for characters. What about bringing Jack back and re-opening the Spectator. He can hire Sami and put her natural sneakiness to good use. Plus Jack and Steve have excellent chemistry together and Jack and Kayla should still have unresolved tension.

3. Break-up Stax and Chan immediately! Not only are they either boring or disgusting, they are too young to be in a true-love relationship already. Stephanie and Chelsea are legacy characters and we have years of stories to tell with them. Keeping them locked in these relationships hurts the show.

4. S-L-O-W D-O-W-N with the supposed romances on the show. Why are Philip/Morgan, Lucas/Chloe, and Ej/Nicole moving into serious relationships so fast? Give us lots of edgy angst and tension in a relationship. The payoff will be much bigger.

5. Make Micky and Maggie a bigger part of the show. Mickey and EJ working together should be causing Maggie distress because of her close relationship with Lucas. Could we see that please?

6. Go back to the old system of A-B stories. M-W-F should be the A story and T-TH should play the B, with some overlap when necessary. That way if a story is not floating your boat you only have to wait a day to see something you like.

7. Montages are always good.

8. Use DAYS history! Conflict should be a big part of the story. Victor could be in conflict with the Bradys over his love for Caroline. There is also the history of animosity with Steve and Kayla. Stefano and EJ should be in conflict with everybody over what they did to Roman/Marlena/Hope/Steve/ John. The DiMera kids should be taking sides and having internal conflict over the side they chose. Give us some suspense over which side they will chose and surprise for the outcome. Especially EJ.

9. NO MORE BABIES!

10. Brady/Johnson Detective agency. Now that Bo is a dirty cop let him be fired. Steve needs a way to help Kayla support their family. Let them work together with Hope continuing as the honorable cop who may or may-not help them on the side. Kayla can be working on a patient that needs their help. Oh and maybe Kayla just happens to know him from her years in LA!

Nathalie Cantin

1. I want to see Lucas and Sami find their way back to each other. They love each other and their children should grow up with both parents. Sami's forgiven Lucas for sleeping with Chloe and Lucas should forgive her for her mistake with EJ.
2. I don't want to see Lucas with Chloe or Sami with EJ. Sami shouldn't have a relationship with the man who raped her, and Lucas doesn't belong with Chloe.

3. Will should come back to Salem. He could help to bring his parents back together.

4. Don't make Sami pregnant with EJ's baby or Chloe pregnant by Lucas.

It's time to move on. Besides the impression I get from Bryan D. is that he is happy to be in another story.

Lucas and Chloe work, which surprised the hell out of me. EJ and Sami work and they have an amazing love story to tell.

1. I feel one of Days biggest problems is that they put too much focus in trying to make everyone happy instead of taking the time and effort to write a good story. For example: one week Ejami fans are made happy and then next week it is Lumi fans. Face it that you will not make everyone happy all of the time. If you want to sell EJ/Nicole, Chloe/Lucas, etc a fling in an elevator isn't enough to get me to buy them as a pairing. It takes more than just you telling me I should accept them.

3. Research honestly what others think. There are many viewers that don't watch for one couple. We watch for good storytelling. There is more than one place where viewers express their opinions than the NBC board. If John/Ava are the better story, then TELL IT. The better story done right is what is going to get more viewers.

2. If a pairing is clearly not working, stop using other characters to "pimp" the couple because the plan isn't working. Just because Doug/Julie talk about how cute Chan is, doesn't make them any more likeable.

3. Use the history and don't simply change it everytime a new creative team takes over. We don't need to have John Black's family tree revised every 5 years.

1. Bring back the romance!!!! It's a soap opera for crying out loud!!!
2. Put EJ and Sami together already! They have soooo much chemistry and are full of so much story potential as couple it's ridiculous that their fans have been jerked around like this! And if the show is too afraid to do it - than just tell us - we're beyond sick of being jerked around!
3. Slow down new romances. I want to like Philip and Morgan, but the show is speeding through the fun, angsty bulid up and making viewers miss out on what makes them root-worthy!
4. More Tony and Anna!!!!! For crying out loud, they are entertaining as hell - why aren't they on more!!!
5. Put the Dimera's up front and centre and get them involved with the other core families on the show!!! They are so fun, messed up and complicated, that when written properly, should never get boring!
6. Bring out the hortons more than once a month! The Horton's are a core family and they need to be treated like one!
7. Continue to draw on the Kiriakis family drama. I'm glad they're finally dealing with the complicated craziness that is Victor's family - keep it up!
8. Bring our soap vixens and schemers back to their roots! Days used to know what do with a good schemer, but lately, characters like Sami and Nicole have become a bunch of weepy victims and who the hell wants to watch that! Mayve Vivan needs to come back and remind them how it's done -lol!
9. Integrate the younger characters into vet stories more. I am beyond bored with this stupid Max story! It's just one in a long line of storylines that have bombed with younger set. Why not get Nick out of the wasteland of the university and have him go to work for Titan or the Dimeras or something. Put Max in a storyline with the rest of the Bradys - even if it means reminding everyone he's dating neice (which the show could really put an end to at anytime!)
10. Have a balanced show that is about character and plot equally! A show that is just a series of never ending plot points without strong character development and exploration of relationships - is boring! Soaps seem to be in love with plot points and are forgetting that the only reason we care about the story is because we care about the characters!!! If they don't explore the characters and their relationships with each other, than viewers are left with a crappy point form version of a story instead of well delevolped story that is about the characters we love or need to get to know in order to love or hate!

I’ve already posted this on the forums, sorry about the repeat...I’ve been watching DOOL for almost 20 years…I’ve seen A LOT, but this is what I'd tune in to see EVERYDAY! IMO, Days has AMAZING actors; it just needs a cohesive storyline arc. Here are my top 10 ideas:

1. Focus on DiMera Industries(?)
It would start with a face-off between John and Stefano; Tony, EJ, and Lexi must all choose sides. After a merger of Basic Black and Tony's Advertising Firm, I see Lexi and EJ being on the fence (going back and forth many times), but EJ ultimately siding w/John and Lexi - emotionally reeling under stress of failing marriage and Theo's disability - siding w/Daddy.
2. IN THE MIX:
Sami...previously fired from Titan and needing to support her children, Sami has corporate expertise and is approached by John to "keep an eye" on EJ which she is all too happy to do. With Stefano back in the picture, Sami - fearful for Johnny- once again turns to EJ as an ally.

Marlena...is blackmailed by the newly awakened Stefano to officially divorce John and marry him; Marlena's dilemma draws the "protector" instinct out of John which brings them closer, but Marlena's ultimate decision to marry Stefano and remain a member of the Titan Board, while continuing her counseling of Victor, pulls them apart.

Stefano...after "awakening" from his coma, Stefano is focused on revenge. His marriage to Marlena is a sumptuous event. His wedding gift to her is "sharing" DiMera Industries with John, which creates a "truce". Stefano's marriage to Marlena gives him a taste of respectability, and Stefano works on "reforming" his image publicly through civic contributions (Autism Center @ Hospital) while wheeling/dealing behind John's back; Stefano quietly uses his international crime contacts to give DiMera Industries a "leg up" on Titan. Stefano also tries to sway EJ's loyalty with hints about the information from the envelope labeled "Samantha Brady"

Steve...reluctantly turns to John to pay for baby Joe's medical bills with Kayla on maternity leave. Wanting to keep an eye on his brother, John hires Steve as Head of Security for DiMera Industries.

3. Corporate Restructuring @ Titan
Meanwhile over at Titan, Philip takes control of Titan's operations, but he has to constantly watch his back with all the external and internal threats. Will a recovering Victor try to take back the reigns?
4. IN THE MIX:
Kate...the "queen mother" tries to help Philip as he assumes control, suggesting he hire a newly patrolled Lucas to oversee Countess Willimena (sp?) while she offers to take control of Bella...that way she can keep an eye on all of her children in a Lady MacBeth type fashion.

Lucas...post prison, Lucas is starting over, trying to make a life for himself and his daughter, including working out a "peaceful" custody arrangement with Sami and reconciling himself to his brother Philip after his "betrayal" with Chloe. Speaking of...

Chloe...Lucas hires her to work with him at Countess Willimena (sp?), much to the angst of Philip and Sami. In retaliation, Philip hires Morgan as an "Intern with Privileges" for CW.

Nicole...thanks to her divorce settlement, Nicole still retains stock in Titan. Being in the right place at the right time, Nicole overhears some juicy information regarding Philip and Paul Hollingsworth and chooses to blackmail Philip. In return for keeping quiet, Nicole wants Philip to take control of Bella away from Kate and give it to her.

5. WHAT ABOUT:
Anna?...not content to just be Mrs. DiMera and tired of advertising, Anna returns to her first love...fashion designing. Tony offers to help market her, but DiMera Industries can't compete with the brand recognition of Countess Willimena and Bella over at Titan. And in a "it's not personal, it's just business" move, Anna joins Titan.

Abe?...the expense of Theo's special needs pushes Lexi to run to Daddy, much to Abe's horror. When faced with providing for his family, Abe considers John's financial offer of looking the other way when pier violence escalates.

Mickey?...Crime is on the rise in Salem. When Maggie and Alice are attacked in the park, Mickey decides to run for District Attorney. He wins with the promise to clean up Salem and focuses all the resources of the SPD (Bo, Hope, Roman, Abe) to stopping the violence - even if that means bringing down John and Philip.

6. Family Meeting.
A frazzled Caroline has reached her limit. After enduring the loss of her beloved Shawn, the hospitalization and near death of her son and granddaughter, kidnapping of relatives, emotional outbursts from her youngest son, premature birth of her latest grandchild, food fights, bar brawls, and murder in her pub, the constant baby-sitting and child care duty, and lately, a stroke and hospitalization of a former flame, Caroline decides to lay down the law and hold a family meeting, which includes asking her family to either pay their own tabs or help out more around the pub & declaring her support of John (innocent until proven guilty). After laying down the law, Caroline starts living her life, and she starts with helping Victor as he recovers which causes Kate to see red!

7. SPD: Bo, Roman, and Hope re-evaluate their investigation of John in light of Caroline's feelings towards him as being a member of the family.
8. IN THE MIX:
Bo...trying to honor his promise to Victor, and duty to his family, will Bo be willing to nail John to the wall to save Philip when Internal Affairs begins an investigation? Still on restricted duty due to his recovering health, Bo enjoys being Mr. Mom w/Ciarra.

Hope...looking for ways to "help" John (and in the process Marlena), Hope focuses her attention on Ava, who's skipped town. With the court date fast approaching, Hope is assigned to track Ava down.

Roman...trying to ease the workload from his partner, Abe, Roman unofficially agrees to take over the day-to-day operations of the SPD. Life is pretty lonely for top cop Roman Brady, until he is drawn into the tangled relationship of Trent and Nicole.

9. Other Brady News:
Max...hoping to capitalize on the Green Movement, John offers Max a job with R&D for DiMera Industries. His lab assistant? Rolf!

Chelsea...things are looking up for Chelsea, she loves her job, she loves her family, and she loves her man...but can she trust her man? After seeing Dan with Lexi and Kate, Chelsea starts to have doubts.

Stephanie...escalated violence between the DiMeras and the Kiriaksis (sp?) claims the life of a Brady. Stephanie is caught in the cross-fire. Stabilized, but left comatose, Steve and Kayla's relationship faces a new struggle

Kayla...Pop, Ava, Baby Joe, now Stephanie...Kay is headed for a meltdown, lashing out at John, Max and Steve. Can anyone save her?

10. THE BIG RETURN:
Frankie Brady & Sarah Horton! With widespread corruption in the DA's office, Mickey looks for attorneys that are "untouchable", enter Frankie and Sarah.

Justin & Adrienne Kirkiakis (sp?). Unsure of Philip's ability to manage the internal and external threats at Titan, Victor convinces Justin to return from Dubai and appoints him 2nd in command at Titan. Victor's ailing health softens Justin's attitude towards the family business, as does seeing the lifestyle the Titan position will afford his wife and children. With the boys in boarding school and Justin putting in long hours at the office, Adrienne soon finds life managing the Cheatin' Heart unfulfilling and starts drowning her sorrows.

Vivian Alamain! After going through all of the lotto money, Vivian returns to lay claim to the Alamain fortune previously controlled by old-John. Aunt Vivian unexpectedly warms to NuJohn and he unexpectedly warms to her. With her ties to Victor, Philip, and Stefano, and her instincts for business, John hires Vivian to help Tony create magazine and cosmetic competition for Titan. Still searching for answers about his past, Steve keeps close tabs on Vivian to gather information on the whereabouts of Lawrence Alamain.

Kimberly Brady! The death of her father brought out a lot of the old ghosts and put too much strain on her marriage to Cal. Kim leaves California and returns to Salem newly divorced and moves in with Caroline. Still haunted by these old ghosts, Kim's behavior becomes uncharacteristic and concerns her family.

Shane Donovan! Shane returns to help Steve investigate clues about Lawrence Alamain. The escalated pier violence opens Salem to an increased international crime presence. The Salem PD requests Shane's help with investigation. Shane discovers a curious Dubai connection.

Belle & Shawn Brady! Belle and Shawn return to Salem hot on the trail of international criminals. Shawn must first complete his SPD Academy training before Uncle Mickey will assign him to a new organized crime task force. While Claire and Ciarra are at pre-school, Belle finds herself continuing her nursing studies. After seeing her fabulous anatomy sketches, and talking with Belle about her lack of passion for nursing, Anna convinces Belle to work for her in fashion design, which means working with Philip.

Celeste! The spirit world compels Celeste to return to Salem. Finding her daughter's marriage on shaky ground, Celeste moves in with Abe and Lexi to keep an eye on things. Old feelings for Abraham start to resurface, as does the strong sense that the residence of Salem are in increasing danger.

hmm... ten things - so much to say...

1) It would be nice if The Hortons, Bradys and Dimera' could share the forefront. It is possible to return to the roots of families, romance, and humor. For instance, if there was a storyline where the Dimera's were actually trying to repair their families and do something good, but unfortunately would have repercussions on the Bradys and Hortons. Just something that would get these people interacting. DOOL has so many wonderful characters that are loved and loved to be hated. More family dinner scenes. Some explosive in banter and some actually fun to be around.
2) One suggestion is to bring back the character of Kristen Blake. Her character would fill the gap left by Ava. Has she reformed, Is she still a tainted Dimera?
3) Shift away from the Chelsea/Dan/Kate thingy. It was way too rushed. I am so not invested. Same with Morgan/Phillip (now these two I like, but once again to rushed). Same with Chloe and Lucas. I like Chloe but not sure if Lucas is the one for her. Actually I'd like to see Stefano take an interest in her. Stefano likes opera....
4) Bring back more Hortons. Bringing Jeremy back as not a nice guy way back when would have worked if that storyline wasn't so awful. There are so many Hortons could be re-explored. Marie, Doug, and Julie are perfect examples. Doug could re-open his nightclub. Be nice to see singing again. Or how about the forgotten branch of Hortons... Tommy and Sandy? Is Nick still even on the show?
5) Cheating the audiences of romantic moments and storylines is a big no no. Skipping out on Anna/Tony's wedding was a major slap. Seriously I almost got some friends to start rewatching. But when these two are on screen like once ever two weeks, it did not help my case.
6) Adventure. Remember the 1984 plane crash, The trips to New Orleans, Miami or London?! Those all had suspenseful must see storylines, that at the same time brought romance. Yes most of the characters are paired together now. But what people like to see is what keeps them together. Ala Bo and Hope. We like them together and they work well as team. Adventure makes couples and love stronger.
7) So more humor. I was only tuning in these past few months whenever I heard Anna and Tony were on. These two are a pleasure to watch. Remember way back when Days would have their hospital variety show, long before General Hospital saw it something that worked.
I'm still at a loss of words for what's happened to Patch and Kayla. What is their storyline? I don't know what to say about them. The actress who plays Stephanie is nice but the fact she's dating her adopted uncle... I am still fast fowarding their scenes on my iPod. Just still not working for me. I like the character of Max. But didn't we already meet his dad several years ago?!
9) Marlena and John - - I actually like the kick in the storyline with him being NuJohn. I am looking forward to seeing where this going with their relationship.
10) I dunno what else to say. Uhm.. thank you Daytime Confidential. It's nice to have a forum where the viewer is asked their opinion. Dont you guys miss the old Dustin Days of our Lives website? Just not same anymore

To be honest, I have started back to tuning into DOOL on a regular basis as of Today via iTunes. Because of the return of Stefano. Please DOOL, I have faith you will find a way to bring back the show that made it so popular. I hope I made the cut for the podcast.

10. A psycho Stalker storyline for the character of Melanie Layton. She is a a web-cam girl, this story would totally bring in the ratings. It will be exciting, dark, mysterious, scary. Molly Burnett would kick ass in this storyline.

9. A nice emotional story surrounding Max Brady. A story that will strength Shelley, Darin and Molly's acting abililie because i know they can because they are all amazing actor/actresses. Like Max and Melanie have a big fight, Mel won't listen to her big brother about something. An emotional Max goes for a drive and gets into a car accident. Show the emotion from Stephanie and Melanie's point of view.

8. More Daniel and Chelsea, these two are a future supercouple.

7. More Melanie/Chelsea/Morgan/Stephanie/Max/Nick/Daniel/Trent. Have them all on 5 days a week.

2. give Stephanie an emotional story that has lots of interaction from her family, friends and her BF Max. Maybe have Stephanie pregnant but its high risk. Steph goes in labor early and she falls in a coma. Have every deal with it but the only one who can save Steph is Max Brady.

1. Melanie Layton, make everything about MELANIE.

Melanie and Nick forever. I love my Melanie, i will marry molly burnett. I am totally in love with her.

Also a big Max and Stephanie wedding but it would focus manly on the brother/sister relationship of Max and Melanie. This would be the moment, where Melanie finally excepts Max as her brother .

I remember watching this show when I was little--before starting school (early 70's, if that tells ya anything!).

I would love to see a return of more Hortons. The show started out about them but Salem seems to have been taken over by other families. Don't get me wrong, I love the show and stories involving the newer families, but I would like to see a return of more Horton family members.

I agree with everyone who says the new romances need to move more slowly. Yeah, we're in the 21st century, but there's just something about good, old-fashioned romance. Speaking of romance, I don't mind babies, but for Pete's sake, no more kidnappings, PLEASE! Claire's double kidnapping was simply ridiculous.

Let's see.... Max & Steph are just not working for me. I'm ready for Max to have a break and let something good happen in his life.

I want the *Real* John back. Maybe he'll come back in time for November sweeps (HINT-HINT to TPTB). As much as Marlena and John are kidnapped and held hostage by Stefano, I doubt they've spent two years together as a married couple--LOL!

It's just a show, I know, but we love the characters, we love the actors who bring our characters to life, and we want to see the show continue for years to come. The only way that's going to happen is for TPTB to actually LISTEN to the fans. Yeah, they went to school and are the professional writers, but guess what--we're the fans, and the time has come for us to unite and be the voice for our show!

- get the original Mickey back
- never ever ever bring Bonnie back
- put bloopers on the Days website every week
- incorporate more mainstream music in the show
- open up a club in salem where the young folk can all gather to listen to live bands, dance, and get wasted (see the o.c. for reference)

Focus more on the veteran actors on the show especially Tony. It was such a thrill to see him on the screen more than ten minutes in two weeks. I'm sure the other actors are fine but it seems like you are putting the vets on the back burner. And by the way,Where is Alice? I haven't seen her in ages. But do focus on the vets they were there when the show started and they are the heart of it.

1. Play the veterans - And I mean all of the veterans. DOOL has done better lately by showing Victor, Maggie, etc more often. But I would really love to see a story line for this age group. Once upon a time, Suzanne Rodgers could break your heart as Maggie. Give her more time a long with Doug, Julie, Caroline, Victor, etc. I am 36 but have always loved these characters.
2. More sets - Lately it seems half the scenes take place in the Brady pub. Now I love that set but there have to be other locations. Whatever happened to Salem Place, the Penthouse Grill, Titan Publishing, the Loft, Marlena's Penthouse. I miss all those locales.
3. Reestablish the Dimera family - Now that Stefano is out of the coma lets reestablish this family and play them against each other. Don't isolate them. I want to see EJ, Tony, Anna, Lexie, Stefano, and John all interacting in a story line. Do another family dinner like before.
4. Corporate intrigue - The advertising story was week at best. Lets get some action at Titan Publishing again. Love to see Victor, Philip and some other employees working together there. Maybe someone in the younger set like Morgan could work there. Also, I believe Tony was on the board of directors at one time. He could be involved as well.
5. Humor - I am loving the stuff with Nicole lately. She has had some funny stuff. Love to see more humor. No slapstick....just good one liners, etc.
6. More Hortons - This is the core family of the show. Where are all of them? I love Nick but he is barely on anymore. I miss him. He is a quirky, non-typical soap character and very interesting. More of him. I know Alice is not well so let's make Maggie and Julie the matriarchs of the Horton family. Love to see all Hortons like Lucas, Hope, etc interacting.
7. Lush romance - This was the staple of Days in the 80s and some of the 90s. They had over the top grand romances that slowly built up until we just couldn't take it any more. Couples get together way too quickly. Remember how Isabella and John slowly got together....thats what I want to see.
8. Brief returns- Hearing about the OLTL anniversary has made me jealous. I would love to see brief appearances by historic characters. Maybe a big sweeps event where people return to Salem. Maybe a new wing is being opened at the hospital dedicated to the Horton family. Marie, Jessica, Mike, Melissa, David, etc could return for the event. Maybe Alex Marshall comes to town to get to know his grandson Nick. Calliope and Eugene could visit for some brief comic relief. Or eventually a wedding for Victor and Caroline could bring Justin and Adrienne and Kimberly back for the wedding.
9. Story telling - It's all about the story. Tell stories that criss cross various cast members. Don't isolate people in stories. I love EJ and Sami but at times it seemed like they interacted with no one but each other. Kate and Sami have not shared a scene in ages. I want multi generational, multi character stories. The Bo and Hope wedding story has been great so far. Looking forward to Stefano's return as a good umbrella story as well. Love to see the romantic couples continue their romances while also being involved in these stories.
