Days of Our Lives: Two-faced Two Step
Take out your umbrellas because fire and brimstone is about to be rained down. First it was Lucas (Bryan Datillo) last week browbeating Sami for doing what he told her to do, move on, now its Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) own parents.
What had me yelling right back at the TV screen today was the conversation between Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Roman (Josh Taylor) discussing Sami being caught literally sweating up the sheets with EJ (James Scott) by Lucas. The girl can’t catch a break for goodness sakes!
I am getting sick and tired of her getting flack tossed her way for living her life from everyone that claims to love her. If that constitutes love then I sure as hell don’t want any part of that hot mess!
Dr. Judgmental Jezebel Evans and Chief Condescending Brady make the mind boggle with their attitude regarding Lucas/Sami/EJ love triangle. How can THEY of all people be judgmental when Sami was married to EJ when she did what she did, is over 18 the last time I checked (although this is Salem where kids are SORAS’d faster than the seasons changes.) and was told by Lucas to move on?
It just kills me on how Sami’s parents are raking her over the coals for doing something totall legaly (as far as we could see) in the confines of her own bed. If I’m not mistaken, she sacrificed her own happiness to secure the well being of her family since we all know Salem’s finest can’t do so and that’s not saying much considering half of her family’s on the force.
This is the same girl that fought tooth and nail to save her parents marriage by putting Belle up for adoption on the black market. You would expect some loyalty coming from them. As screwed up as her logic was her heart was in the right place.
I’m just waiting for the day that Sami decides to say, “SCREW YOU BOTH! It’s my life,” Roman and Marlena have the nerve to ask what’s wrong with Sami. What was so wrong with her getting all of her pent up frustrations out in a constructive way?
It was either that way or Sami pulling a classic Sami maneuver. I think RomMar are just mad that Sami’s getting some action and all they are getting is carpal tunnel from all the mass…. Mass typing they do for their journals, what were you people thinking? Sami’s an adult who is married to EJ. Instead of scolding her why don’t her parents just try to support her? That way she doesn’t have to pull a, “Sami,” on anyone.

I don't care for Sami myself. But let's face it: there must be a lot of people that like psycho, slutty bitches, because her azz doesn't seem to be in any danger of going anywhere.
But to be honest, the character is beginning to get a little long in the tooth. Which means it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for her parents to be standing around talking about her problems as if they have nothing better to do. That's the REAL problem here. One can always tell when older actors are 'put out to pasture' when all their characters do is discuss the problems of the younger actors. Deidre Hall needs a real storyline. I could care less about John Black's amnesia and the actor that plays Roman needs to leave the show. And after Kate fu****d Stefano, she needed to leave as well, since that was about as gross as it could get.

Oh c'mon Sami's been sticking her nose into her family's love lives since forever! And let's not forget how she interfered in poor little Carrie's relationship w/ Austin since they were teens. I love Sami, but she's not getting any sympathy from me

Sami deserves every piece of shit thrown at her (the rape excluded, no one deserves to be raped, and that is what happened in that car with EJ and Sami in December of 2006).

Oh god, another "Sami's innocent" rant. Are you kidding? Sami just had sex with her rapist while married to another man (according to herself, she's married to Lucas in her heart, where it counts, and EJ is just legalities) but hey, she's innocent right? It's all Marlena's fault.
Sami didn't try to fix her parent's marriage, she tried to force them to stay together because its what she wanted. And what she whined about until 200... what year was last year? 2007? Right... 20 year or so Salem time.
She's a sad grown woman who needs to take some damn responsibility and grow up.
Now I loathe the fact that Marlena is put up to pimp EJ/Sami/Lucas as much as the next person (I won't include Roman because it's obvious where Sami got the pathetic from, the sassy is all her mama, the pathetic is "Roman"), but seriously, Sami needs to finally take her mother's advice and get some therapy (which Marlena has been telling her grown daughter for years now).
What I love about Sami fans' rants is that its Marlena's fault until Marlena dares stand up to her manipulative, blackmailing daughter and critize her schemes and wrong doings. Cause then Sami's an adult who needs to get to live her own life.
Sami is an adult, she does need to take responsibility, but every child can stand to take some advice from their parents at some point. Advice doesn't mean you have to live their lives for them (*coughkaterobertscough*).

I just love a great debate! I'm not saying Sami's blameless but she's an adult, when are her family members going to start treating her like one or let her fend for herself? It just cracks me up that Roman's passing judgement on her when he overlooks what Kate did to her. Sami's the way she is because of Marlena getting down and dirty on that conference table with John so she has no room to bust her chops.

I just don't want to watch more scenes of people yelling at Sami. Didn't we see enough of that during The Vendetta reveal?
I kinda agree on Roman and the actor. Really he's just detective window dressing in that time honored tradition of soap cops and detectives and investigators...Mack, Frank Cooper, Paul from Y&R, John on OLTL, Roman. Oddly enough most of these characters had big stories once, and some were even major characters, like Roman. Is marginalization part of the job description?

I am tired of people yelling at Samai, too but she needs to understand where they're coming from. Being with EJ will only cause her heartache in the long run. All that glitters aint gold. Lucas needs to get the stick out of his ass and really step up to the plate. I hope that the writers don't demonize Lucas to prop up Elvis.

I came on board with Sheffer. I think that the writers have demonized Lucas to prop Elvis. It feels like the entire time that I have been watching, Lucas has been a prick to Sami and there is nothing to like about him. It was obvious that EJ and Sami would get together (the rape ruined that potential), and Sami has spent the last couple of years crying and whining. Whenever Sami and Lucas get together, they seem to rehash the same script over and over. If they are meant to be together, then give me something to root for. I don't know if Lucas has always been this way, but I can't see why their fan base is so huge if this is the case. To me she works with EJ, so let them be unapologetically bad together and tell everyone else to go to hell. I really don't think EJ is reformed, I'm just waiting for the guy to snap.

I agree, Mike! Lucas wasn't always like this. It's like under Sheffer, the character became one note. EJ will never change, and poor Sami will learn the hard way. Higley has to give Lucas his dimensions & rooting value back if this triangle is going to work.

Days needs to introduce a new love interest for Lucas. A sweet, noble girl who is the complete opposite of Sami which will drive her insane. I vote for Princess Greta to return. Give her a past with EJ and connect her with Lucas, which will grow Sami's claws and fangs all the way back in an instant!

Totally agree this.....Sami was NOT married to Lucas when she made love to EJ. She was married to EJ. She was wearing EJ's wedding ring. She had removed the choke chain with Lucas's ring from her neck, which signified that she was moving on. She did not bed her rapist...that whole stupid concept was cleared up in a conversation between Sami and EJ a couple of weeks ago. Damn ! Keep up with the show, people !!

People in glass houses should NOT throw stones, and that includes Lucas who tried to have Sami killed....KILLED !!!! for a murder that he committed. What a hypocrite. But Lucas fans always conveniently forget that little story line, don't they?
