I just want to take a moment to give As the World Turns kudos for pairing Emily and Casey. I have to admit I wasn't sure at first but the more time these two characters spend together the more I'm enjoying them.
Often cross generational romances (ok, Casey and Emily aren't quite to that point...yet) wig me out for one reason or another with a couple of exceptions. Dorian and David on One Life to Live and Victor and Nicole on Days of Our Lives are/were a two cross generational couples I enjoy(ed) but couples like As the World Turns' Dusty and Lucy (Lusty) and even Days of Our Lives' Daniel and Chelsea (who I'll admit have great chemistry) both wig me out for some reason.
This is why I surprised myself when I realized that I'm enjoying Emily and Casey. Maybe it is because, as Jamey pointed out on our last CBS & Days of Our Lives Daytime Confidential episode, it is "classic soap" or that their pairing pulls on so much of the shows history but I'm enjoying this budding couple.
Note to As the World Turns sine I'm watching it live while blogging: Having Chris Hughes tell us how great of chemistry he has with Alison won't convince us they do. Take a page from how you're writing Emily and Casey and let the chemistry come naturally. Don't force us to believe it.

May/December romances where the woman is older is GOLD for soaps! This is a genre aimed at women for crying out loud! We get enough of old geezers with women half their age in real life. On soaps, which is a woman's medium, the writers and producers are smart to play into a woman's fantasy world. I guarantee more women want to see Emily get her groove back with beefy young Casey, than Paw Paw Victor Newman calling Sabrina "cherie" every five minutes! Also for the younger women, the older man thing is also a big fantasy, so I can see why Daniel/Chelsea and Lucy/Dusty were/are hot.

This pairing is so wrong that it's right. Daniel is the only problem that I have. How would he feel that his big brother is boinking his moms? I would die! He would be the perfect foil, though. We all know that by the time we see him again, he'll be 30. LOL.

LOVE Emily, like Casey but can just sense the anticipated JP smackdown of Emily (wait for it, it's coming...just like it has the past 2 years). My guess is it will end with Daniel finding out about Emily's most recent wrong career choice and I'm not looking forward to that.
I do hope they let Paul and Emily bond over their misguided flings with youngsters though lol

The actress who plays Allison has got to go! Sorry but she is just not cutting it, that's not Allison, she has no chemistry with anyone, she's not a believable enough as a Stewart woman.
