Pratt In At All My Children, Esensten And Brown Out?
An inside source has revealed to Daytime Confidential rumors that Charles Pratt might assume the head writer reigns at All My Children in the near future just might prove true. According to the source, current AMC scribes James Harmon Brown and Barbara Esensten recently submitted a long-term story projection for the soap that was allegedly rejected by ABC Daytime frontman Brian Frons.
Former General Hospital head writer Pratt, who left daytime to consult for such hit primetime shows as Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty, is reportedly pitching his own long term plans for the show and if the top brass at ABC daytime likes his work, Brown and Esensten are likely to be shown the door this summer.
An additional rumor that is gaining steam has Gary Tomlin (One Life to Live) taking over as executive producer of AMC from Julie Hanan Carruthers, who allegedly would join ABC's cable sibling SoapNet.
