Boy oh boy Emmy politics are something else. No way should Alicia Minshew be in the supporting category. She's the show's lead actress. Bobbie Eakes plays much more of a supporting role and sorry, but so does Susan Lucci these days.

Days' Mary Beth Evans is also a lead actress, as are GH's Kimberly McCullough and Becky Herbst and GL's Marcy Rylan! Kathy Brier was also pretty much a lead last year, but her character is generally supporting, so I will give them her. But Guiding Light should be ashamed for putting Tom Pelphrey in younger leading man, knowing DOGGONE well he's been that show's strongest lead actor since shortly after his character arrived in town, I don't care if he's under 25 or not! How will little tykes like the brilliant Hunter Allen (Noah, Y&R) ever get a fair break?

The Younger categories are based on age, not where they think they should be. At least that one's a little bit "fair"

Quick zip through of the nominees

Lead Actor - Will - John Hensley, Anthony Geary, Peter Bergman; Might (Should) - James Scott, Robert S. Woods, Michael Park

Lead Actress - Will - Martha Byrne, Erica Slezak; Might - Deidre Hall and Melody Thomas Scott

Supporting Actor - Will - Trent Dawson, Austin Peck, Kristoff St. John; Might (Should) - Bradford Anderson, John Paul Lavoisier

Supporting Actress - Will: Sabine Singh, Kathy Briar, Catherine Hickland, Rebecca Herbst; Might: (Should) Judith Chapman and Heather Tom

Younger Actor - Will: Van Hansis, Jake Silberman, Tom Pelphrey, Brandon McClure; Might (Should) - Edward Alderson

Younger Actress - Will: Julie Marie Berman, Kirsten Storms, Kristen Alderson; Might (Should) Brittany Underwood, Rachel Melvin, Shellie Heinig

I don't necessarily think that everyone I have listed under "Will" should get a nomination, I just think they'll end up on the list.

There is an age limit for younger, meaning under 25, but come on if a 24-year-old is your lead actor, he should be in the lead category, not up against some tyke who just learned his ABC's.

you spelt Mandy Bruno's last name wrong just for future reference I think that Marcy Mandy Nicole and Tom should get Nom's this year Daniel Crosgrove too because of those scenes with him and his dad in Cassie's Barn were terrific

Thanks Jammylove, I fixed it. Daniel Cosgrove is way too good for GL right now. I bet he is kicking himself for signing a contract. He did so before anyone knew what a critical hit Dirty Sexy Money would become, and although his role was only recurring, ABC has a long history of putting recurring actors from one show in as leads on another. I'd love to see him as a friend of Justin's who dates Rebecca on Brothers and Sisters.

Most of these names don't even deserve to be on this list! They just did that to fill it up. Should any of Y&R's younger set be getting any kind of Outstanding Younger Lead Actress anyhting? Hell to the no!
