Angelica McDaniel Promoted to SVP at CBS Daytime

CBS is rewarding Angelica McDaniel for managing to make a modest success out of The Talk, after overcoming a few casting bumps and bruises. The network has promoted the TV exec to senior vice-president of daytime. This news is awesome sauce, considering I was hearing a certain former ABC Daytime soap slaying exec was spotted lurking and skulking about CBS late last year!

Thirtysomething, Brothers & Sisters Star Books Gig in ABC's Upcoming Fashion Soap

Is Ken Olin ready to strike a pose? According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Thirtysomething alum has be added to ABC's upcoming sudser Americana. The show will center on a famed fashion designer (Anthony LaPaglia) and his family. Olin, who most recently starred in and served as an executive producer for ABC's Brothers & Sisters, has landed the role of Martin, a garment manufacturing company owner, whose daughter is also a clothing designer.

Ragged Isle, Pretty and Anacostia Suds Up Wins at 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards

Ragged Isle and Pretty came out as top webisoaps, with both snagging three wins respectively at the 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards, hosted by We Love Soaps last night. The awards featured performances by As The World Turns' Colleen Zenk and featured clips of some of your favorite web series and more.
Ragged Isle won the Best Indie Soap Award (Drama), while Pretty claimed the Best Indie Soap Award (Comedy). Bitch-tastic series, Anacostia scooped up two awards for Best Writing (Drama) and Best Guest Appearance (Drama) for ATWT alum Martha Byrne's ball-busting turn as a madam on the serial.
